Suitable for salt water?

Hi I use the pump for well water and storm drain man holes it passes material up to golf ball size , if you want to use it for salt water the stainless body and impeller will be ok but the base is cast iron so will corrode if left submersed , ok if used then rinsed in clean water. Hope that helps , great pump !
