The expansions for 7 Wonders Duel are practically essential for the serious gamers. I cant imagine playing without both expansions at the same time because they allow every game to be exciting and varied. The Pantheon expansion specifically makes it possible to actually win Science and Military victories more often. Must buy!

If you like 7 Wonder Due is a must buy. Very good extension.

Now you have even more ways to gain Victory Points!!! It becomes difficult to choose your own strategy because any of them may be better than other. So big variety of strategies does make a game more interesting.

7WD is such a great game. Does it need this expansion? The answer is, awkwardly, "maybe". On the one hand, this adds a unique layer to the game and refreshed something I'd played over 30 times. On the other, it starts to pull away from the simple set up and simple rules of the base game. Pantheons also seem to be weighted a bit too heavily in my opinion, although not game-breakingly so. Interestingly, it seems like the creators liked the gods because it is similar to a mechanic in the LotR Duel (locations) game they released. The box is a reasonable size but the extra pieces mean I have to play on a slightly larger table. Me and my partner often switch between base game or base+pantheon, depending on mood. It's definitely not necessary to buy this but it's a nice addition to mix things up.

Great expansion and can be used with the agora expansion as well to expand the game even more. Really interesting use of the game to have purchasing a deity as an action. Really enjoyable expansion and had loads of fun using this with Agora as well.

In my opinion, the base game has become more complex with this expansion and I enjoy it. There were more things to keep an eye out for this way (e.g. how the Gods can influence the game). Understanding it was not super difficult but a bit of reading was required. I personally enjoy the base game and this expansion made it just as or maybe even more enjoyable for me.

My partner and I have really enjoyed this expansion. I find it adds layers of both strategy and complexity, whilst tying in really well with the main game. It also replaces the guild cards, which were perhaps our least favourite in the main game. If you enjoy the main game then this is a no brainer for me, but conversely if you're not sold on the main game you won't like this either.

Duel is a favourite in our house and this little expansion adds a little extra to the base game. I really enjoyed the extra elements that it adds to the gameplay. It doesn't change any of the original play it just adds some extra elements in. I also like how to new elements fit on to the original game.
