Bought these a few times now , really do improve the plants condition

Was bit skeptical about these specially with some bad reviews however having planted aquarium I need something for my plants to thrive. At first when I put them in yes they start to dissolve so have to be quick but then noticed my tank started to go bit cloudy. Got up this morning and my tank has cleared up know these don't work fast but hopefully my plants will start getting something as my swords leaves are starting to curl. I did use once before the liquid from a pet shop and sent my nitrites and nitrates through the roof which did kill few my big clown loaches and endlers. These are good if read the instructions I dug mine about an inch so that's prob why I had some clouding,but so far so good in my tank now I have lemon blue eye bristlenose and blue pearl shrimp and as said they still alive.

Staple for aquarium plants, I always use these for my aquariums to aid my plant growth along with a liquid fertiliser. I use play sand as substrate so these are needed in order to get the plants growing well.

This review is based on the the usability of the product. It was so hard to put the tabs in the medium. The moment I put it in the tank it started to dissolve like those paracetamol water soluble tablets for headaches. It did not give me enough time to put it at my desired location in the soil which creates panic. Also, somehow using the big scaping forcep to put it in the medium tab stuck on the tip and won't let go that resulted in disturbing my carpet grass as it is still fragile. Despite all of it the tabs are still at the soil surface and not completely under the medium which made made my water merky for a while. Measured the ph it seems normal and no adverse effects on the tank so far. Can't comment on the results as it seems too soon it's only been 10 days. I won't buy it again.

Used for a boost as plants were looking a little dull and I don't have a fertiliser base under my substrate, they perked my plants right up.

I started using API root tabs a few months ago since they are safe for shrimp. I did notice from day one how my plants started to grow so quickly and bushy. It made my plants healthier. The roots grow pretty quickly and big from cuttings. I feel this is an amazing value for your money.

Not sure how it will work on my plants but it did make my aquarium water cloudy and brown. I have changed half tank water the next day after using this tabs. Hopefully cloudiness and discoloration will go away and won’t effect my fishes. Won’t buy it again

Work great and they were on sale. Regular price on here is more expensive than in the fish store so would only buy them on sale on here

Very useful for planted tanks
