Braun Replacement Foil & Cutter - 31B, Series 3, Contour, Flex XP, Flex Integral - 5000/6000 Series - Black

Wow, I have replaced the foil and cutter on my Braun shaver for few years but eventually the foil cracked and I had no choice. The new one makes such a difference, it takes now half of the time and better shaving. I will definitely not wait too long before replacing it agin in the future.

The foil on my Braun rechargeable shaver got a crack in it while in my wash bag. So I had the big decision of buy a new shaver or a new foil. £60 or £23. I went for the new foil and it is brilliant - I expect the old one had become blunt so I was quite surprised how much better shave I now get. The shaver cuts quicker and closer than it had done recently. It seems pricey when you look at it but much cheaper than a new shaver.

It was the annual moan about having to change the cassette cutter and foil on my Braun Series 3 razor. The decision you arrive at when you have finished shaving and still feel as if you haven't started. Grit your teeth, straighten your back and man up. Order the damn thing. Yes its expensive. But, have that first shave with the new cutter and foil and you are reminded just what you had put up with while delaying the inevitable. I checked the options and ordered off Spares to Go because of the price and reviews. The item arrived 2 days after order, straight, simple replacement and now I have a whole year to contemplate the next renewal. Just do it.

I was looking for a mower which was cheap and light - as a small, ageing woman, I can't lift great weights up flights of stone steps on our terracing. Something that would cut reasonably well on difficult corners/borders. It turned out to be not that light but has a central handle which helped me to carry it around very well. The grass box has a good capacity for a small mower. This machine has fitted the bill. I like the fact that you can use a number of heights on it but a little concerned at the flimsy plastic mechanism which you have to pull on quite hard. It is all very plastic but then cheap products usually are mostly made of plastic. It does what it claims it will do. I have used it only once but so far I am quite happy with the product.

I ordered a new foil & cutter for my Braun Series 3 electric razor. I duly received a part also called "Series 3" and it is a genuine Braun product. However, there is no way it will fit my razor. Shape and fittings are completely different. Can you explain ? Can you accept a return, even though the package has been opened ? Potamus

Due to my own carelessness,the foil on my Braun 5000 series shaver was damaged. I found this product on the Amazon Website and checked it against that on the Braun site. Seemed compatable and cheaper. The package arrived a few days after being ordered and it works fine. My shaver is a type 5724. It's a pity you have to buy the cutter unit as well in this package but I guess it does no harm to replace both.

I'd forgotten what a smooth shave felt like! I've never replaced the foil or cutters on my Braun 5614 and I've had it for donkey's years. The cutter was so easy to change - just a pull & push fit - and the foil fitted perfectly. Then I tried it and Wow! It felt so great not to have my face ploughed up, which is what the old cutters & foil did. It will almost be a pleasure to shave again!

This is the second foil and cutter which I have purchased for my razor. Each time, my initial feelings are that this is an expensive item and that I should be able to buy just the foil at a much lower cost. I probably still feel that way. On the other hand replacing both the foil and the cutter does make the razor feel like it is brand new and the shaving experience definitely improves by replacing both items. I still feel that Braun are exploiting their customer base and they should offer them the choice of buying the foil only, but as this is not an option, I would say to any owner of the Braun razor that if you are happy with the product and the shave that it gives you (which I am), then put aside any feelings you may have of being ripped off and buy this foil and cutter, even if only the foil needs replacing. The razor will feel like new and it will continue to provide you with many hours of satisfactory shaving.
