Easy install and works better than new. I installed on my son's 2013 Sonic and and it was a breeze. Now six months later and it still performs like new.

So it works great, and technically speaking, it was sort of an upgrade. The previous knob button had this frail little derpy spring holding it in. No wonder it died. This kit *does* come with another spring, but I wound up not needing it. The reason I mention this is because I had to dig around on YouTube to find tutorials, and found one where a guy reassured the viewers that you may or may not need the spring. (note: video wasn't product specific, but it was car make/model/year specific.) Anyways, now I don't have that derpy little spring holding a high-use part together. This is much sturdier, and once I realized I didn't need the spring, it took me maybe 10 minutes to install. Works great.

Pretty easy fit, old one pops off and this one goes on. Looks and feels pretty much the same as original but the plastics feel a bit higher quality. Also, it's super easy takes like 5 min. took me an hour and a half because I hit my head and got knocked out cold. Stumbled awake and finished this in like 5 min...5min....5min

I installed this on a 2012 Chevy Sonic. An elderly friend had car trouble and could not remove her key from the ignition. When I looked at it, I saw that you could shift between all gears just by moving the shift knob and not needing to press the button. When in park, it would not release the key, because it thought it was still in gear. I ordered this because I needed something immediately. The installation is a breeze, and it really is only a 5 minute fix. Everything in the kit fit perfectly except for the plastic C piece that goes around the front of the button. It looks identical to the OEM part, but I just had a lot of trouble getting it to wrap all the way around and clip in. After several attempts, I reinstalled the OEM part because it was still in good condition. I did install the back strap piece as hers was faded out and the new one looked better. Still can't believe that this part even failed, it is such a dangerous failure point. But this kit is a PERFECT fix!...well nearly perfect.

Excellent and easy to install in 2014 Sonic! This kit saved hundreds of dollars since the mechanic wanted to replace the entire shifter. The Sonic is known to have shifter button issues! Save your money and buy this kit!

Fixed my issue which was the broken silver shift lever but the black trim piece did not fit my Chevy sonic 2014. It kept making the manual shift buttons get stuck. It also stuck out more than the OEM one.

Perfect fit for my 2013 Sonic LT. Looks great. Feels exactly like the original. Watched a video and followed it to do the replacement myself.
