My oven light went out. The stove is 20 years old so I guess it was time. I bought this stove 20 years ago because I could no longer get down to clean the oven and the one I had was ancient and didn't even have a oven window let alone a light. It was very slow to heat also. So I bought this stove with the self cleaning oven. It has been a dream. Since I am disabled I couldn't reach the back of the oven to change the bulb. I called a local appliance repair and they came and installed a new bulb. It burned out the first time I turned the oven on. They came back and installed a socket and another new bulb. It lasted a week. The bill was running up. I only had one more thing that could go wrong and that was the control panel. Since the bulbs were getting power I decided it wasn't that and it had to be the choice of bulb. I found these and they were for high temp ovens which the others weren't so I ordered them and had the install my bulb. It is still working. So the answer is if your oven bulb keeps burning out it is probably the bulb not anything else. If you have a self cleaning oven that reaches over 500 degrees for 4 hours you need a bulb that will withstand that kind of heat.

Honestly, I’m a little torn on these. The bulbs themselves worked fine initially, but I’m already on bulb number two because they keep blowing out. The problem is I genuinely can’t tell if it’s the bulbs themselves or if my oven is the issue, so I don’t want to fully blame the product unfairly. Installation was easy and they did fit/work correctly while they lasted, which is why I’m still giving 4 out of 5 stars. I just wish I had a better idea whether the lifespan issue is coming from the bulbs or my appliance.

If I could give these bulbs a zero star I would. I usually purchase 1 bulb at a time at my local home improvement store and never had an issue with those. These bulbs on the other hand, are downright dangerous. I purchased the bulbs on February 25, 2026 and installed one in the oven right away and it only lasted until April. When I went to replace the dead bulb, I gently twisted to unscrew and the Bulb literally shattered into pieces in my hand leaving only the socket jammed inside the bulb outlet. My question is: How does a bulb shatter in such a way as if more fragile than an egg?. I've never in my 47 years had any bulb do that. My Husband was in disbelieve. Instead of baking my lovely Sourdough Bread, I spent the next 15 minutes removing glass chard out of my oven. I had to resort to pliers to gently remove what remained stuck in the oven bulb socket. To add salt to the injury, now the return window is closed. Buyer be aware that these bulbs are questionable at best. I can see by other reviews that this has happened to others as well. Needless to say, I will not be a repeat customer.

Great bulbs that seem to last for a welcome change. The right size and fit.

I had two oven lights go out, so I purchased these replacement bulbs. They went into the socket easily and the brightness is perfect to see what is in the oven. I would purchase these again.

You never know a good thing until it is gone! True Dat! My hood light burned out the other morning. Overhead light too bright. No hood light darkness prevails. Thank goodness bulbs were in stock, just the right price and shipped in a timely matter

I needed a 40-watt, dimmable, incandescent, high temperature oven bulb to replace one that lasted two (2) weeks because it was not a high temperature bulb. I checked some bulbs in the hardware store, but most of the information on most brands were devoid of the above information. Therefore, I decided to check Amazon, and this brand provided the information that I required. If other companies would like to maintain customer loyalty, they should provide clear and detailed instructions on their products.
