Matisse’s Garden

We have used this to introduce Matisse and his papercut artwork to hundreds of children from reception to Y6. The book beautifully lends itself to discussion of Matisse, the artwork and its impact. There are gorgeous fold out pages with prints of his actual pieces which are relevant to the flow of the book. Absolutely recommend.

This is a wonderful book! The story and pictures are awe inspiring. My four and two year old enjoy it greatly and I most definitely enjoy reading it to them.

Bought for my grandchildren, the book nearly remained with me - and is clearly also beloved of the children's mother! What a brilliant book, which I hope will lead the children towards Matisse's works as a whole.
