Amazing Book. This guys teach on 20-1 Century ideas is incredible !

Impressive book, much larger than expected and packed to the rafters with incredible illustrations. If you intend to reference Syd Mead this is absolutely the book to get. If you still need to decide then there's flip throughs available on YouTube. The only reason my copy survived Amazon's terrible delivery system is because the publisher shink wrapped it. So there's always that to consider when purchasing from here.

I've always been a fan of Syd Meads amazing work. In my opinion, i would have liked to have seen more work from less films. Some of the work is from films that were never made. The work for Star Trek the motion picture took up a lot of valuable space but was very samey of the Vejor concept. Overall, this is a very good book but lacks a deep focus on some key cinematic motion pictures.

The influence of Syd Mead on film design and on the visions of SF artists around the world can't be understated. Rooted in a real-world/ lived-in feel his vehicles and buildings have made so many movies seem both possible and plausible. This collection is a beautiful overview of his work over the years and, if I'm honest, the book could've been twice the number of pages and I would still have wanted more. Absolutely essential for futurists everywhere.

Syd Mead is one of the finest futurist artists that all futurist artists try to emulate his style and vision. It all started from when he was at Art Center College of Design. (The school that I later went attended.) Great book lots of illustrations. Well published book. Good for your future library book collection.

Não imagina que o autor participou de tantos projetos importantes para o cinema e para as animações. O livro é recheado de 'sketchs' sobre as ideias dos autor e algumas mudanças que fez ao longo dos projetos, muito útil esse livro, além de ser maravilhosamente diagramado.

Un volume monumentale dedicato ai lavori cinematografici di questo visionario illustratore e designer, che certo non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Contiene illustrazioni, studi, bozzetti a colori e in b/n dedicati ai vari film a cui ha prestato la sua opera creativa. Il volume è rilegato ottimamente, stampa eccellente su carta patinata. Una festa per gli occhi e il cuore per ogni appassionato di fantascienza e non solo.🙀😸 Ottima anche la spedizione, con un imballaggio perfetto, del distributore americano associato alle edizioni Titans books, con tanto di comunicazione post-vendita per verificare che tutto fosse andato per il verso giusto ed eventuale assistenza.👍 Da acquistare perché poi i libri di questo autore, nel tempo, generalmente diventano piuttosto difficili da trovare, se non a prezzi importanti.

La contribution de Syd Mead au cinéma de science fiction est tout simplement incroyable : Blade Runner bien sûr , mais aussi Aliens , Star trek , 2010 , Elysium , Tron ... Ce superbe ouvrage ( hardcover , papier glacé) nous présente de façon très complète le travail du maitre sur chaque film , depuis les premières esquisses jusqu'au rendu final. Certains dessins sont inédits , tous sont magnifiques! Très bonne idée d'éditer ce livre à l'occasion de la sortie de Blade Runner 2049 ( traité un peu rapidement en fin d'ouvrage). Attention , intégralement en anglais .
