A crafter's dream
I was bought a similar version of this glue applicator in pink a few months ago after hinting like mad that I had seen one on some American you tube videos, I haven’t seen these for sale at any other UK outlet but they may be out there and I just couldn’t find them. My first one arrived in April and I have been using it daily ever since. I wish I had it last year when making wedding invitations, I went through over ten of those small glue applicators and at least 2 of them broke immediately. When I spotted this yellow version it had a lower price than the pink one and it also happened to be prime day so I snapped it up as a spare. This one does not come with the Scotch glue reels but these are also available to order on Amazon and I found them under Scotch ATG tapes. Although the tapes seem to be a bigger initial outlay than the cheaper hand versions it has taken me 3 months of reasonable use to finish my first roll, 3 metres really does go a long way. The gun itself is pretty big, it is 19 cm long by 24 cm high, I think it is pretty straightforward to load, there are instructions in the box and there is only 1 button to press which allows you to forward the reel on and 1 small piece to detach from the rear spool., I am sure that will become clear if you have one in front of you. I would not be without my machines now, I have used them for photo albums, scrapbooking, card making and wrapping presents. A fantastic piece of equipment.

Expensive but it works
Having used several glue rollers and almost all of them got tangled or jammed halfway through the tape, I spent out on what I hoped was the top end for glue rollers. And it is. Not cheap I agree but works like a dream. Allows you to use a multitude of different tape rolls, all of which are easy to fit, but more importantly easy to fix if the tape ever jams halfway through. A bit cumbersome at first but with practice this is the only glue roller you will ever need. Plenty of YouTube videos to help too.

Works really smoothly, great for crafting
It's not as heavy as it looks and feels comfortable in your hand. You press and hold the trigger on the handle to roll the tape. Prefect for crafting. The only thing I found difficult, was threading the tape through..I couldn't understand how i got the glue tape to work. Fit the roll onto the rolls as they show.. the double sided tape is only exposed when you have the leader tape wound around the liner retainer, and clip D back over it.. push and hold trigger roll it on paper etc and tape will appear..I hope this helps..

Handy tool
This is a brilliant item, I do a lot of cardmaking and papercrafts and this is so easy to use, the tape runners I used before ran out so quick but the tapes in this machine last for ages, it is do easy to put in new reel of tape and you can get adaptor and use different widths of tape for different jobs, the machine is very robust and well made and should last a long time, the only downside is you don,t get a reel of tape with it so you can use it straightaway.

A little awkward to use first time, but after that it's no bother
Great product to use. A little tricky to get tape into and working first but lots of videos to show you how to use this great product

It Has Limited Use In Archival Printing And Mounting, But...
...what it does it does to perfection. I use archival linen tape cut into a T hinge to mount my larger images and to create a bracket between the mat and foam board. If I’m not doing an archival print I tend to mount A3+ images on gatorboard without a frame and with UV protective art varnish. So for anything above A3 I don’t really use it. However, for smaller prints, usually 8x10 analogue, it’s indispensable along with archival pockets. It’s also fantastic for double mats when you tape the apertures together. As someone who got frustrated with archival double sided tape on my that one occasion the ATG700 is a brilliant simple little machine worth its money many times over and I wish I’d invested earlier.

Need larger print instructions.
Sent back , the instructions are too small to read so couldn’t load it. It’s expensive for a bit of plastic so you would have thought you at least got 1 reel with it, ready loaded. There are pictures to show you how to load it but I couldn’t get the back reel off even, it was stuck fast.
