Is this product the 2-phase cleaning tablets

Not sure how to respond - I simply put one in the machine (Impressa S9) as part of the cleaning cycle, in line with the instructions as they appear, and the machine does the rest. I'm sorry I cannot be more helpful.

How often do you use the cleaning tablets?

Like others have said, my Jura model, and I think all for that matter, will prompt you when it's time to do a cleaning cycle. To a degree how many coffee's it's making will dictate when the machine tells you. I personally don't think I use 12 tablets a year so I think I must be averaging about every 6 weeks.
