where is the on-off switch?

The on-off is incorporated into the speed dial. Turn it and it clicks "on" and turn it further the speed will go up. Turn it the other direction and the speed will reduce and turned further will switch off.

Is there a replacement battery available and if so at what price?

This model don't use any batteries. You must have a special adapter (also from Proxxon) from 220 or 120 V to 12 V.

Can I use a universal 12V adaptor or I have to buy Proxxon brand? Is any power supply included?

I have not experimented with other power supplies, I can tell you the Proxxon power supply is 12 volt DC / 2 amp output.I can't tell you how much of that 2 amps the rotary tool uses under normal use. The label on my model 50E rotary tool states 18 volts DC max. and 40 watt power max.Other than being lighter and easier to handle for delicate work, a Dremel tool is what I use most of the time.

Is power supply is sold separately ?

Yes, you will need to purchase a Proxxon power supply. Either a 38706 Proxxon NG 2/S or 38704 Proxxon NG 5/E. You must use a Proxxon brand power supply otherwise the speed control not work.
