Very surprised at this!
I used this to dye my jeans as they got sun damaged, and oh my did this do the trick, I didn’t think it would work but to my surprise they did! It was like grabbing a new pair of jeans again from the store! Made my jeans look new again Very easy to use, with instructions on the bottle! Dye staining worked well and worked well with the fabric of my jeans! So all in all for me it was well worth it!

Good for Restoring Faded Clothes
The Nakoma Rit liquid dye worked really well for restoring my washed-out jeans back to a deep black. The colour took evenly and made a noticeable difference straight away, bringing old, faded denim back to life. It’s a great way to extend the life of clothes rather than replacing them. It was straightforward to use and delivered the kind of results I was hoping for, especially on something as worn as my jeans. Pros: Restores faded clothing effectively Rich, even colour result Easy to use Great for extending the life of clothes Good value compared to replacing items Cons: Can be messy if not careful Results may vary depending on fabric Overall, a really effective product that does exactly what it’s meant to. Ideal if you want to refresh old clothing.

Inconstant results - poor support. Save your money.
I purchased this to put the colour back into one in my daughter’s green hoodies from TopShop. It didn’t work. The instructions for the dye are indecipherable and seem to be made for US washing machines. I found a YouTube video that RIT had sponsored which was also fairly useless and just skipped key steps. If you have a stand-alone machine you may achieve better results. However, having a built-under washing machine makes it virtually impossible to pour in almost two litres of boiling water (4 cups water and salt/ four cups of water and dye) without scalding yourself or covering your cupboard doors/ worktop/ washing machine/ floor with dye (in my case fluorescent green). You need to get this water into the top feed tray before the washing machine finishes the flushing of the powder/ liquid. Also once you’re past 40 years old there’s no chance of you reading the instructions on the bottle which may as well have been printed on microfiche. Basically it has ruined my daughter’s hoodie top (which was a faded lime green to start with). The dye is patchy with dark green areas - a total mess and I subsequently had to purchase a new jogging top to replace it. However, please also note that RIT would like you to purchase a dye fixer (another £10). That’s £20 in total, making it fairly uneconomical considering a replacement hoodie is £35 delivered. And wait for it, some garments may need more than one bottle of dye... bargain! My advice would be to save your money and either tie dye when it’s at the end of its life or just buy new.

Erm, a little bit purple.
Followed all directions exactly, this item was pure white before hand & after 30 minutes it look great.. however this was the outcome from the charcoal grey dye... it's more purple than grey.

Black Liquid Dye
I bought the Nakoma Rit Liquid Dye (Black, 8 oz) for £8.58 and it did a solid job. I used it to refresh some faded clothes and the colour came out deep and even. It’s easy enough to use if you follow the instructions, though it can get a bit messy. I like that it works on different fabrics and even other materials, which is handy. It’s good for simple fixes or small projects, not just clothes. Delivery with Prime was quick and hassle-free. Overall, it works well and feels worth the price.

Good Results on Washed Out Denim
I used this to re-dye my black jeans after they’d started to look faded. It worked really well and brought the colour back nicely.

Great dye for Ghille suits and camouflage.
I bought this product to dye Raffia grass for staining it to add to camouflage for my Airsoft equipment. The colour hasn’t faded at all and so far lasts ages. You have to wear gloves otherwise, you will stain your hands! :) The amount of dye was plenty for the project I was undertaking and I was able to use it for multiply dunks of the raffia grass. I combined this dye with the yellow one which I used first. Excellent value for money. It was easy to use and the instruction were simple to follow.
