I’m absolutely loving the Garnier Summer Tan Moisturiser! This product gives me the perfect, sun-kissed glow without the hassle of sunbathing. The formula is smooth, lightweight, and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving no greasy residue behind — just soft, hydrated skin. What really stands out to me is the natural, gradual tan it provides. I’m not a fan of heavy self-tanners that leave you looking orange or streaky, but this one delivers a subtle, golden color that develops over a few hours. I use it a couple of times a week, and it gives me a natural-looking tan that looks like I’ve just come back from a beach holiday. No fake tan smell, either! The moisturising aspect is also fantastic. It keeps my skin feeling hydrated and soft all day long. I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t cling to dry patches, which is a big plus, especially around my elbows or knees. The formula is gentle enough for daily use, and I love how it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling.

After a rough year health-wise, I missed out on most of the summer sunshine. Thankfully I’m on the mend now, but my skin clearly didn’t get the memo — especially my legs. I’m in the gym most days, usually in shorts, and between the lack of sun and the dry, dull skin, I decided it was time to do something about it. At first, I was just looking for a simple moisturiser to revive the skin on my legs, but then I stumbled across the “Garnier Summer Body Gradual Tan Moisturiser.” The reviews were solid, the price was under £6, and I thought, why not? A bit of colour wouldn’t hurt. It arrived the next day with Prime — always a bonus — but when I opened the bottle, I was hit with a scent that stopped me in my tracks. Wow. I can’t sugarcoat it — the smell was pungent. To me, it’s not pleasant at all, and it seemed to cling to my hands even after washing. I even tried to return it, only to discover it’s one of those non-returnable products. Not one to give up easily, I decided to improvise. I grabbed a pair of disposable latex gloves (the kind I normally use when prepping food), jumped in the shower, and after drying off, applied a thin line of the moisturiser down each leg. I took my time working it in, making sure it was evenly spread and absorbed properly — the texture is rich but not overly greasy, and after a few minutes, it left a slightly tacky finish. The next morning, I was honestly shocked — in a good way. My legs were smooth, the dry skin had completely disappeared, and the colour... well, it looked like I’d just come back from a two-week beach holiday. Not orange, not streaky — just a healthy, natural glow. Even better, the results lasted. I didn’t reapply for over a week, and the colour only began to fade around day eight. The moisturising effect lasted even longer — my legs still felt hydrated and looked far healthier than before. So, while I’m still not a fan of the strong smell, I can’t deny the impressive performance of this product. It does exactly what it promises — hydrates dry skin and builds a beautiful, gradual tan without fuss. If you can get past the scent (or use gloves like I did), this is genuinely a fantastic moisturiser with the added bonus of a natural-looking tan. Highly recommended — it’s a lot of sunshine in a bottle for the price.

I was spending so much money on bottles of fake tan before I was introduced to this product! I would genuinely never go back. It smells lovely and dries instantly, without staining clothes/sheets and leaves a glowing, natural tan which is buildable!

I've tried a few similar products with poor results. With this one I gey an even tan, no streaks, just needs to be reapplied every so often to maintain once desired colour has been achieved.

Mixed feelings on this stuff, I absolutely loathe seeing folk with orange, patchy skin because they haven't followed the instructions, couldn't be bothered or just botched the process completely. I followed the instructions to the letter, I made sure every bit was rubbed in, and every bit of my skin was evenly covered by doing sections at a time. I washed my hands thoroughly afterwards and not a word of a lie I still came out patchy and my hands looked like I'd dipped them in carrot juice for a month!! It's orangey and so unrealistic. But the patches just make it look even more noticeable and it wasn't for my lack of attention to detail. I couldn't have been more precise but it still came out bad. They get three stars for the smell alone, it's absolutely beautiful but I'm not prepared to go out like I've been tangoed.

This tan works well, applies easily and doesn't feel greasy or sticky when applying or after. It dries in well, however while it does smell lovely when applying it does eventually give of the usual biscuit/fake tan smell but it isn't too bad or overwhelming. You can see results the next day and can build on it or only apply it 2-3 times a week to maintain it, otherwise it will start to fade and look blotchy. However there are no streaks or blotches that usually appear when someone has fake tan on their legs if you apply it frequently. I find the tan itself light to begin with and moisturises your skin well. Make sure to use a mitt when using as it will turn your palms orange even if you wash them immediately afterwards.

As a pale girl who honestly doesn’t care to self tan ever, sometimes it’s nice to have a gradual one just to give myself a little color. It’s very gradual and natural looking, not horribly scented which is a big plus for me.

Mit Garnier kann man eigentlich nichts falsch machen, es riecht gut, lässt sich gut verteilen und es gibt keine Flecken, allerdings ist das relativ teuer selbst für die Größe.
