Tasty macaroons

Cheap, Flavorless Sawdust (per my girlfriend)
I was shouted at by my girlfriend after gifting her a smashed up box, she also noted the color was pale and the taste was similarly bland. Due to an air leak on the side of the box (no idea how QC didn't catch this) it wasn't crunchy either, I tasted one and spat it into a nearby tissue. If you care about quality macaroons, don't buy these cheap ones, go for sushi platter styled baklava boxes instead. Those are more expensive but MUCH better quality and gift value.

Absolutely delicious, but not worth £7!!
In this pack you get 6 macarons, 2 each of 3 different flavours; Lemon, Pistachio & Strawberry. Each one had that yummy meringue-like texture unique to macarons; crunchy and yet soft & chewy at the same time! Of the 3 flavours, may favourite was the lemon. They were the perfect balance of tart & sweet. The pistachio were very delicately flavoured and the strawberry were lovely too. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the price. I've never had a macaron before, & having seen them each for over a decade on Bake-Off, they were firmly on my bucket list! I had an Amazon voucher from a family member as a birthday present, so I decided to treat myself to these from my wishlist - otherwise I never would have spent £7 on 6 biscuits!! Other than that they were delicious, the packaging was beautiful and would make a lovely little stocking filler/side present for someone.

Small and expensive
Macarons are expensive as standard. they are also known to be very difficult to make. As a baker i wanted to decorate a cake with a couple of these without the hassle of making them myself. took a while to find the pink ones that I wanted and even then i had to buy this 6 pack of different colours to get the 2 pink ones. luckily they arrived undamaged. they were a little smaller than i hoped and to be honest, they didnt taste fantastic, but maybe i just dont like macarons. ultimately, you need to consider weather or not these are worth £1.35 per biscuit, when you can get an entire pack of HobNobs for the price of one. I know which I'll be dunking in my tea going forward!

Avoid!
To echo another reviewer, i wish i had read the comments before i bought these because, after having tasted them, i also wish i hadn't bought them. A waste of money. Hard, dry, stale and the nasty is just nasty. Having tried Macarons made properly these were a huge disappointment. To quote an online websites '10 Signs of a Bad Macaron' ...Stale Macarons: "Throw them out. Stale macarons are an insult the the people who pay good money for them, and they make a bad impression. They're dry and crunchy in the most unpleasant way. Stores that can't sell them fast enough to sell fresh ones, shouldn't sell macarons at all." I think that pretty much sums up these. Mine are going in the bin
