This Andis blade will last for years for us DIY groomers making it good value for money. Review: Superb, one pass clip. - The andis blade range are now my go-to brand for the clippers we're using. We've set for both human and animal use, on course curly and straight human hair they work a treat, on fine fluffy (poodle) dog hair they're equally at home (though with the latter, we use FC graded blades, not this unit). Adding a comb attachment these clippers give an even and one pass clip, they take oil and brush up well. Unlike other brands they do not appear to tarnish with oxidization, and can be taken apart (see the screws) for sharpening on a flat grinder, or replacement of the top cutting surface in the set. So you can easily keep the same assembly for your clipper for many hundreds, if not thousands of uses. The cutting distance shown (1.2mm in this case) is always exact, we have 6.3 and 1.2 mm versions and the clip is superb. After unsuccessfully trying a smooth blade, this one went through like butter. I recommend more than one so you can alternate when they get hot. I may try some of the longer blades because the #7 is pretty short, but it’s a personal preference and nothing against the blades. For around the face and feet, I do a light grazing with the skip tooth and finish up with a smooth flat blade. **Q: Does the andis # 10 blade come with both blades?** A: What do u mean? A 10 blade is one blade **Q: what does "FC" mean?** A: An FC blade is a finished cut. The skip tooth blade goes through thick or matted fur better. So if your dogs fur isn't matted or super thick you should only need an FC blade. I use a FC 3-3/4 or 4 FC on a cockapoo and either does a good job (the 4 just a little shorter cut) . The FC gives a nice finished look without having to use another blade . **Q: I accidentally ordered this blade for using on a human hair. this blade is 1.5mm only than any blades. So can it applied on human hair? or pets only?** A: Lol my husband uses the dog clippers to shave his head all the time.
