New Wellgo B087U Ball Bearing Alloy Mountain BMX Pedal with Reflector Black

Good quality for general riding and light off-road use. Nice aluminium pedals, usefully wider than the originals on the hybrid bike. Comfortable fit for larger shoes sizes, good grip from the studs when wet. Pedal bearings were very stiff and dry feeling when new but, seemed to bed in beautifully after 50 miles. Still good at 200 miles of dusty and wet riding.

Good pedals for the price - large platform with screw in studs for grip, reasonably light for the size, seem solid, complete with reflectors and even has gaps for installing clip/straps if required. One pedal was a bit stiff and I had to adjust the bearing, a bit fiddly but relatively easy. Other pedal was fine. These are not top of the range so do not expect them to be highest quality but so far, with limited riding experience they have done the job and should last a while yet

Easy to install if you know the left hand thread for left hand pedal rule. They come with no instructions but have a small L or R on them. Toe clips won't fit to the reflector holes unlike on other Wellgo pedals I've used. But the spikes grip shoe soles quite well so no problem really.

Nice length pins and more importantly a nice low centre meaning good footing when wearing harder soled shoes

They stop my feet slipping off peddles and hurting my ankle. So yea they work !

Bought these to replace the generic pedals that came with my Hybrid; wish I'd done it earlier. These are great, non-slip, wide footing, sturdy pedals - was amazed at how good they are at keeping your feet in one place without foot movement or slipping, it's almost like wearing cleats :D Sure they're a tad on the heavy side, but don't think these are the pedals you'll buy if your entering time trials :)

I don't often give poor reviews, but I have to warn people about these pedals. THE GOOD: Nicely finished cast alloy pedals with reflectors and a good shape for a flat pedal. The spindles look well designed and they have ball bearings. THE BAD: When they arrived the bearings were very stiff to turn and felt gritty. Basically they felt like they had been over tightened, so I stripped a pedal down and found the larger bearing was four balls short! So i stripped the other pedal and that was missing two balls too. Fortunately, having stripped the better of my two old worn pedals and measuring the balls with vernier callipers, I found I could use some of the old balls to rebuild the new pedals. Access to tighten the bearing cap and lock nut was very difficult to say the least. I now have two smooth pedals which I hope will last quite well and for quite a low price, but don't buy these if you don't have some engineering skills, tools and a vise.
