You will get a couple of prints and that’s it. **Q: Can this be used multiple times?** A: Not really, I tried when I messed the 1st one up and there wasn’t enough ink to make a good 2nd print. I suppose If you have a pet with a small paw you can try to use 1/2 the ink pad and then the other 1/2. You’d have to be strategic. It does come with 2 papers. Just 1 ink pad. **Q: What is the size of the card for the paw print and is there a special frame anyone would recommend to have pic on 1 side and paw print on other side** A: A standard 3.5 x 5 should work. Mine is in a double frame with a picture on the other side. **Q: Can you use it on other surfaces? Like a piece of wood, for example?** A: You can try if your laying out the carbon side on the wood as the transferred site. In fact, it doesn't dry for a long while. I smudged a bit of the paw print after it had sat for over an hour because I didn't realize. Thankfully the smudge isn't enough to destroy the paw print itself because our cat passed within 24hrs of getting the print (he was old and it was his time). I just wish I had known ahead of time that this would be the case, I would have been much more careful. On the plus side, we're going to be able to frame this next to a photo of him, and we're planning to scan it into the computer to send to a tattoo artist as well. This is a perfect, mess-free project to work on with your pups! Mine were a little hesitant to put their full weight down on their paws (as you can see how light the middle paw print is) but there is enough ink in one sheet to do multiple paw prints and even fingerprints like we did. I was able to get some prints on the back of the cards too but they didn't turn out too well so I just flipped it over and tried again. Like I said, there's a ton of ink so you can make mistakes and it's okay! We used it for our ferret friend.Only complaint is the extreme lack of any detailed instructions for best results, while the process isn't as straight forward for a decent print. Pressing too softly wont leave anything of course, but too hard or too long makes the ink smudge quite a bit. You have to be firm yet quick, as if the animal's paw was an actual stamp. Had to take several tries to get a decent image, and the ink gets used up per attempt so it runs out fast.Still, got what I paid for, so only taking 1 star off for inconveniences of the first time experience.
