Tadpoles and Frogs (Beginners)

Bought this for my 4 yr old grandson who had been finding baby frogs and tadpoles in the pond. He loves it. Pictures are clear and colourful and it is a story but interesting including all the facts. He now knows the various frogs and loves reading the book over and over. Great for the little ones loving the outdoors and educational too.

Really nice book, bought for my 7 year old son. These books are great for encouraging him to read more. Very informative, great text layout and good pictures. We will be buying more books from this range.

I ordered this book for my 4 year old son, who has other Usbourne beginners books. We find this series a lot of fun to read. As always the pages are brightly coloured and have good pictures. There is just enough text to keep him interested but not too much so that he gets bored. Very good books - would recommend the series for inquisitive little minds.

These are really good books. I accidentally ordered one we already had but Amazon said to keep it so top marks for that. If your children like facts about animals, this series is brilliant.

My 4 yr old is obsessed with frogs right now and this book is perfect for encouraging her to learn more! It is a little bit pricey for a children's book but I love the hardcover and detailed info inside so I know it will hold up for years to come!

What a beautiful book! I bought it for my 3 year old grandson. Actually, his 4-1/2 year old sister picked it out after I presented her with the Caterpillars and Butterflies book that I purchased from a national park nature center. I was thrilled to discover that I could get several other titles from Amazon, so I purchased eight more books (USBORNE BEGINNERS). I will probably order all of the titles; they are so reasonable. The information is unbelievable (like the World Book Encyclopedia for little ones)and the illustrations are beautiful. All of these books will help to instill a love for nature. Thank you for making them available.

The layout of the book is well thought out with a table of contents, glossary and index. Each page is packed with information and lots of pictures with examples of different species. The book begins with a frog laying eggs and follows the life cycle to tadpole and then to frog. Along the way the book explains how tadpoles and frogs eat, breath, sleep and protect themselves from predators.

Great book for young children just beginning to learn about animals. I'm using it for homeschooling my kindergartener. The pictures are great and its just enough information on each page to keep her interested with being overwhelming.
