What is the size of the actual head that picks up?

Why in the description box is the Oxo flexible turner larger than the one that is stated as large flexible turner? Is this an error? I want to order

The Oxo"s principal virtues are that it is wider than most slices, and it will not melt if subjected to pan heat ( unless the user wilfully leaves it in the pan to cook! It is not an especially long blade. I use it mostly for extricating small fish fillets from the pan. It enables this without breaking up the delicate fillet.

Is the handle on this item 1071536 the same material as the larger size 1071534? i.e. Will the handle melt?

I couldn't answer that. I never leave it resting in a pan and I cannot imagine why the handle should melt as your hand would be holding it at the time. Never had that problem I'm afraid.
