For owners of this camera, do you often experience freezing or chopiness in the video feed? Seeing this quite a bit on mine as well as artifacting.

Yes. In part, because this camera lacks onboard compression, the computer has to do the work. Some computers will balk at the task, causing freezing and chopiness. This, and the inability to focus on documents etc. irritated me, and my coworkers. I wound up "donating" mine.

Is this supported in Linux?

Unfortunately, there is no Linux support at this time.

Does this camera work with a Caldigit Docking station?

Yes you can plug the Elgato FaceCam into a Caldigit Docking station.

how clear does it look when zoomed in for streaming?

You probly dont need to zoom in on it, unless youre creating a specific scene in OBS for some kind of quirky stream reaction. Its a VERY clear camera. I have mine mounted on top of the main monitor at arms reach, and it is VERY clear. I love it. Its 1080, so if you zoom into the source, it would be about as clear as any other 1080 source I would expect.
