How to measure the quantity of defoamer for a lay z spa

Dear Peter,Thank you for your question.I have listed the instructions below for you:Application Instructions:Initial: Add directly to the Spa, whilst the pump is running, at the rate of 110 ml per 220 gallons (1,000 litres).These dosages are relevant to newly filled Spas on first set up or after draining and refilling procedures.Weekly: Add directly to the Spa, whilst the pump is running, at the rate of 55 ml per 220 gallons (1,000 litres).General Precuations: Handling / Storage (Important – see Risk and Safety phrases opposite)• Never mix Spa chemicals with any other chemicals in their concentrated forms, including products like household cleaners and weed killers as a dangerous reaction may occur. Contact with concentrated chlorine may also liberate a toxic gas.• Handle products in a well-ventilated area preferably outdoors.• Wash hands after handling Spa chemicals.• Storage – Store in a cool dry place.• Keep locked up and out of reach of children and petsI hope this helps.Best regards.

I used foam remover in lay-z-spa - foam now gone but a milky film appeared on water surface. Anyone else had this happen. Is this normal?

I spoke to Clearwater about this. The milky film was gunge but more than I expected. However after adding about 5ml of clarifier (chlorine, pH and TA levels were perfect) and leaving the hydrojets on for about an hour the gunge disappeared. The floating chlorine dispenser was still covered with gunge which was sticky and oily so goodness knows what it was it came off with soap and water. There are only 2 of us using it (daily) and we always shower before hand.
