Light Is the New Black: A Guide To Answering Your Soul'S Callings And Working Your Light

I bought this book on Kindle and I am only half way through it but ordered two paperback versions too, wanted one for myself and one to lend out to other people. I have been reading books on spiritual growth and attending workshops for thirty years and I am still trying to workout what my true life purpose is. I have been distracted on my journey through caring for others being a mum, daughter, wife, sister and friend. I trained as a holistic therapist after working in administration for over twenty years. I ended up with Fibromyalgia and we relocated from a city in England to rural France. I feel I am now in a transitional stage and this book is helping me focus on my spirituality again. Reminding me of things I knew and helping me on this next stage of my development. At first I felt I couldn't answer a lot of the questions to identify what my calling was, but one thing I kept thinking was I love to dance and always have done, I haven't done much since being diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago but did take up line dancing when I moved to France which I love but I felt I wanted to do something more rythmic and spiritual so I have started belly dancing I thou in turn is having a very positive effect on my health. I recently listened to Rebecca's talk on the Hay House Summit and when she said she found the best way to honour her body was through dance it really resonated with me. I thoroughly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to working through the rest of it, it is very inspirational and also down to earth and easy to read.

An absolute gem of a book! Rebecca has done great work with this book... Every singe word resonates with my soul and feels like it's exactly what I need and want to hear right now. The book is really easy to read and follow, with loads of exercises for the reader to think about and work their light. It definitely is a book I will be re-reading on regular basis. I have met Rebecca on number of occasions and she struck me as the most down to earth and normal person. She has an amazing energy, is a pleasure to be around and this clearly reflects in her book. Really really really happy with this book and would give it 6 stars if I could. Great job Rebecca - thank you!

I find myself not wanting to finish this one, because it's just so good! I would have finished it even a month ago, I'm not kidding! But I keep getting back to it and reading again; more carefully, more quietly, more openly. I felt a magical energy from this book when I got it, I just couldn't read it from beginning to end for a number of days after I got it. I had to open it in random pages and read my message for that moment and it always suited me perfectly. Such a weird experience! As of course I like to have ready everything I eventually read it from start to finish. It is still one of my favorite books out there; the sheer energy of it is out of this world. I reccommend it, even just so that you can have it in your shelves. And the message is so well-said and the design is magnificent. I am just amazed and very very happy about it!

This book really made me realise we are all unique and it makes no sense pretending we are the same as others as it would derail us from our right path. This a good book for those that want to question who they are and what their purpose is. Enjoyed.

Honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. I never leave reviews but this I felt so called to do so. Rebecca reminds me so much of my self. Everything she writes talks to my soul in so many ways. From feeling a misfit and alone to not being able to speak up to what she truly felt so she would write what she wanted to say in writing and post them under her mums and dads bedroom door... I use to do this all the time haha! She is a true inspiration and I’m so glad I came across this book. I never usually feel the need to write stuff down when I read but with this I got a note book and pen and had so many downloads in my self and inspiration to write about. Thank you!!

I would highly recommend to read for anyone on their spiritual journey. The book that brings you back home to yourself.

Thank you Rebecca for finding your souls calling and for awakening your spiritual side so this book can be written. I enjoyed reading it and It was very inspirational for me. I am already meditating (transcendental meditation) but not every day as life gets busy. Reading Rebecca's book gave me the motivation to meditate every day and show up to my spiritual awakening every day. There are many paths to Source/ God and everyone of us is trying to get there. In this book there are helpful meditations and easy practices that will help to awaken your spiritual side and light you up.

One of the most spiritually inspiration book. I love the writing style of the author as it's very smooth and melodic. I've read the book twice. The first time I was at the beginning of my spiritual awakening and couldn't fully relate to the content. Second time was 8 months later when I was awakened, starseed/lightworker and all. Now I absolutely appreciate the content of the book. I had a notebook and wrote down each of the 'Work your light' exercises that helped me tremendously to discover my souls calling and who I really am. 100% this book, especially if you are a starseed, lightworker or someone who wants to delve more into that and has an open mind.

I enjoyed every page of this beautifully written book. I look forward to reading her other books next. Very inspiring.

Ich bin über Rebeccas Newsletter darauf aufmerksam geworden. Davon abgesehen, dass dieses Buch wunderschön gestaltet ist, ist es auch noch handfest, nachvollziehbar, inspirierend. Ich bin dankbar, dass Verlage wie Hay House Frauen wie Rebecca die Möglichkeit geben ihre Erfahrungen zu teilen. - Die Erfahrung, sich in einer tiefen Krise einer höheren Macht anzuvertrauen, aus purer Verzweiflung und dann Wunder über Wunder im eigenen Leben zu erleben. So, wie es mir auch erging 2012 :-) - Mir helfen solche Bücher zu verstehen, dass ich nicht alleine mit dieser Entdeckung bin. Ich schreibe das hier, damit jede, die sich von den Versprechungen von "Licht, Heilung, Göttlichkeit, Liebe, etc." angezogen fühlt, endlich begreift, dass es WAHR ist! Es ist auch für Dich möglich ein Leben, wie Rebecca zu führen! -Das Buch startet mit Rebeccas Geschichte und enthält im Weiteren Übungen, die einem helfen können den neuen Level zu erreichen. Wie mit allem, am: "Am meisten hilft's, wenn man's benutzt!" ;-) Nur vom Lesen wird sich nichts ändern, aber alleine ihre "Light Sourcing" Übung, die ich in ähnlicher Form unabhängig davon vor ein paar Jahren auch entdeckt habe (scheint ein Ur-Bedürfnis zu sein, wenn man einmal Kontakt mit der Energiefrequenz des Lichtes hatte ...), ist ein großer Schritt zu einem schöneren Leben. Alles in allem war mir vieles bekannt, aber ich schätze es, wenn ich durch solche authentischen Berichte neue Impulse bekomme und den Prozess durch die Augen einer anderen Person nochmal nacherleben darf.
