Good game, well khown selection, of pinball tables if you like pinball, and have a ps4, buy it, good price, brand ne w, good delivery time.... Very happy with my purchase.... Bobby_G

Just what I wanted, terrific fun. Good choices of tables.

Disclaimer: This review covers BOTH seasons of Pinball Arcade. When news of developer Farsight losing a contract to recreate tables from Williams and Bally surfaced, it also meant that around 60 tables manufactured by them had to be removed from the Pinball Arcade online service via Steam, XBox Live and PSN. So if you're hoping to play tables based on The Twilight Zone, Star Trek - TNG, Ripley's Believe it or Not (all on Season 1) or Terminator 2 (Season 2) after installing it recently, then that's not going to happen until they eventually reappear under Zen Studios PinballFX service as they're the new contract holders. However all is not lost as although you won't be able to recover every table that was removed online by simply buying the physical version of both seasons of Pinball Arcade, you'll can still enjoy a fair chunk of them with the added bonus of being on physical media so that they're kept for posterity. Over the 2 seasons there's a total of over 40 tables to choose from (though oddly "Arabian Nights" features on both discs) and given Farsight's previous experience of recreating pinball tables on older systems, they have really excelled themselves as the emulation and ball physics appear spot on. Heck, even tables that have appeared on their Gottleib Pinball Classics collection for PS2 that I particularly disliked such as El Dorado - The City of Gold, Victory and Central Park are now enjoyable thanks to the improvements made. Of course there are the usual goals to attain in order to earn yourself a nice PSN trophy to add to the collection. Plus updating to the latest version gives you a brand new table to enjoy based on the movie "Mary Shelley's - Frankenstein" along with table packs to sample from manufacturers Stern, Gottleib and Alvin G before you purchase them. So what are you waiting for..? Pick these up quickly before the eBay scalpers get ideas as you won't regret it as they're excellent value for money. And I'll once again reiterate the point that you'll be getting content that is no longer available online on a disc. So an easy 5 Stars from me then. 😀

The first option in the main menu is 'Table Packs' which you'd think is the main feature of this collection, however it's just a bunch of adverts for tens of tables that aren't even on the disc and you have to buy from the PS store. This is what I'd consider predatory UI design, and sours the entire package. You're mostly buying an advert for extra content, and this just feels like a demo disc as a result.

I’m sure a lot of people that are buying this now are buying it because the Bally/Williams tables that are no longer available on the digital addition. I tired to search for answers online about this disc, but found it hard to find any info on the tables included, so: 1. All of the 22 tables advertised on the back of the box will install and are playable even after you update the software. 2. There is no AC/DC table, it seems that you will only get this table with the version that has the picture of the table on the box. 3. This is season 1 and far as I have been able to find, none of the later seasons have the AC/DC table as I’ve been looking for this ore in particular. . 4. Terminator 2 is on season 2. Lots of people seem to be looking for this table, there is no Adams Family on the disc either. 5. European and US discs are cross comparable. 6. From the tables I’ve played the Pinball FX3 tables look and feel a little nicer, but have read these are more true to the real machines. 7. If Mars Attacks is one of your favourites choose this version over Pinball FX, apparently they messed up the physics. It doesn’t seem right at all in ‘classic mode’, although Zen have an update coming soon with an overhaul of the entire engine. Happy trails Hans.

Great arcade pinball games

I quite like this if you can get it for 19.99£ like I did. Nice clear graphics that look great in HD shine. Some tables a bit naff but startrek and one or two others standout. Plus there are inbuilt challenges. If it was a full price ps4 game it wouldn't score well but at this price its a good blast for an hour or so.

Flawed genius.. This is a very good, close to excellent, pinball game. Much fun to be had, and the PS4 shows off its' potential. However, since installing from the dvd around a month ago, it has failed to update via the PS4 downloads area, and gives no specific reason or remedy.. I've emailed the developer a number of times to ask if they know why this is happening, but no response whatsoever! Poor. The tables included on the "base" installation (around 20) are very good, but I feel I am missing out on updates and the ability to interact more online without a newer version. Perhaps the straight PS Store downloadable version offers this, but right now I feel cheated and not happy about receiving no response at all via email from the developer despite multiple attempted contacts.

Pourquoi le meilleur ? Car il reprend de "vrais" flippers, ayant existé IRL ! La physique est incroyablement bien réussie, les tables sont reproduites à l'identiques et proposent pas mal d'option (customisation des parties, tournois, différents angles de vues, etc). Possédant de vrais flippers, ce jeu ne remplacera jamais la sensation que procure une vraie machine dans son salon, mais tout le monde n'a pas la place pour cela, ni les moyens financiers. Un "vrai" flipper des années 80/90 se négocie souvent entre 1000 et 5000€… et tombe souvent en panne. Et les nouveaux modèles STERN/JJP (qui n'arrivent pas à la cheville des anciens Bally-Williams) sont encore plus onéreux. A ce prix (je l'ai eu pour 12€ mais j'aurai donner 25€ sans problème), il ne faut pas passer à coté, d'autant que ce n'est pas un jeu produit à grande échelle. Le prix risque de grimper quand il ne sera plus trouvable. Ruez-vous sur les 2 saisons, si vous êtes un fan de flippers, vous ne le regretterez pas ! Import UK (ou même US) = peu importe, le jeu passera en FR dans votre console FR. Chaudement recommandé !

My first experience with PS4 and I really like this pinball game. There are plenty of nostalgic tables and most of them are pretty fun.
