very impressed
oh my goodness this puzzle is amazing , so addictive I am a teacher and bought this for our grandson aged 7 ..... Hope I don't wear the batteries out before I give it to him ... I work with a autistic boy who is very high on the spectrum I took it into school to see what he made of it ? he was transfixed gently putting the circuits in place and then so thrilled when the lights and music started ..... WELL DONE .. If you want me to try and comment on some of your other "SCIENCE WIZ" feel free to email me [email protected]

Brilliant game, poor execution
This is a brilliant puzzle game, and it can offer a lot of interesting play for a kid (and even an adult!) However, it suffers a major technical problem. The pieces won’t stay down; they always keep popping up even after trying to firmly press them into place. The mechanism used to try and make an electrical connection between pieces is finicky and puts pressure on the pieces, causing them to jump out of their place. This then means even if you manage to get them all to sit flat (a minor miracle), even when successfully completed, the box often does not light and and music doesn’t play. The idea is sound. The execution is poor. We’re returning ours for a refund because this game is killing my daughters’ desire to actually try to play it, as it pops out her carefully placed pieces all the time, and as pieces often need to be repositioned and trialled in other spots, this is a significant problem. Happy to buy it one day once again when they figure out a new way to get pieces to sit without popping out.

OK. Fun for a while, but not well made.
REALLY annoying music when you make a circuit. They get very difficult very quickly and the paper templates are easy to break. Not so impressed as other products from this company.

I bought this for my soon to be 13 year old extremely intelligent daughter. The puzzles start super easy and start to get more difficult - absolutely brilliant. Would recommend year 6 upwards.

Great little toy. Certainly kept my mind busy as well as the 8 yr old I brought it for.

Great for all ages
We got this as a present when my son was 7 and years later we still have it. There are 40 levels to solve, getting increasingly hard. In each, you get a template for part of a loop and you have to fill that in then complete it with the remaining pieces. This involves turning and rotating the shapes and it gets quite hard. Seriously addictive, and you can play again and again as if you're like us you'll forget how to solve them :)

Science Wiz Cool Circuits Puzzle
I bought this as a gift for my niece at Christmas, at the request of her mother. She opened it at our house and to be honest, it was a bit of a nightmare setting it up (and none of us are dumb in the slightest). There is a random lead coming out of it, with no explanation of what it is for anywhere. The different circuits are on very flimsy paper and could quite easily be ripped. The look of disappointment on her face was mortifying. Once we managed to get it to work, she seemed ok with it, but I was definitely disappointed with it for the money it cost.

This is an excellent teaching tool for conceptualizing and working on patterns. Circuits don't work unless they are closed (complete). So it is a great teaching tool. It is extremely fun. Students loved it. 40 Patterns. They went crazy trying to complete those circuits competing against each other to see those lights come on and circuits emit that bright green light inside. THESE ARE NOT CLASSROOM READY. The puzzles are PAPER. Not durable. I ordered them as a fun activity while teaching circuits to 6th & 7th grade. Even after telling them to be EXTRA careful...one form was torn. They need to be laminated if used for a multiple kids. ITS A LOT OF WORK to cut out those holes after lamination using an Exacto blade. I bought 5 boxes.

Fun, very challenging & frustrating. Played by 6 year old, highschoolers, college students,.Doctors and PHD's at Christmas. Once someone started a puzzle EVERYONE refused to give up. Some puzzles took a minutes to solve. Several took over an hour. You literally don't want to stop playing until the puzzle was solved There is ONLY 8 pieces to connect. How hard can it be. Darn, I almost had it... There is ONLY 8 pieces to connect. How hard can it be. Darn, I almost had it... 45 minutes later they had a different appreciation. Once solved, the person was ELATED that they finally solved the puzzle. Someone else would say "Let me see that, it doesn't look very hard".... There's only 8 pieces...How hard can it be... an hour later they had a different appreciation (but they wouldn't put it down until solved)... Highly recommend, especially for the "Know it all" (Like me)

This is our second purchase of the same toy! My son got this as a gift 18 months ago, and it finally broke after being dropped more times than I can count because he brought it everywhere. It's a neighborhood favorite. Every kid he knows wants to play with it. Everywhere we went, doctor's offices, playgrounds, etc, kids wanted to play with it. So, it got loved. Finally, it broke and we had to buy a new one because he played with it so much! Not because it was poor quality. He STILL plays with it all the time. I can't recommend it highly enough. Even the adults want to play with it all the time. My son is on the high end of the gifted spectrum, and he is also on the autism spectrum, and some of these puzzles he figured out in seconds, others took him a few minutes. Some, he hasn't finished yet. This is a great toy.

We purchased this game for my son for his 5th birthday. It is a super fun game! My husband and I have been playing it after he goes to bed! My son also does quite well with figuring out the easier puzzles with minimal guidance as well. The reason I rated it so low is because of the quality. For $22, I really expected something more sturdy. The box itself is quite sturdy. The inserts are super thing magazine thickness paper and are already getting destroyed after 2 days of use. When you put them in the drawer, they catch on the other circle cutouts and get wrinkled up. The game pieces themselves also do not always fit snug into place, so pieces are popping out while you are trying to get other pieces in, or they are in so tight, that you can't get them out when you are done playing. Lastly, and most disappointingly, when you finish a puzzle, even if the pieces seem to be snug, the music doesn't always play. You have to take random pieces out and put them back in until it decides to play. It is a major bummer when you work so hard for that reward music.
