So he definitely makes a statement, too bad he can’t bite the finger of solicitors. He weighs 17.5 whopping oz and was a breeze to install, the push button works fine, makes the chime work perfectly. I was disappointed though as the description states “true illuminated doorbell button” so I thought there must be a ring around the base that lights up, nope. I messaged the seller, their idea of illumination is “to enlighten with handmade craftsmanship and finishing of the product intellectually.” So that’s how they define “illumination” in India (where he’s made.) I still really like him and am happy to have him guard my front door 🦁

Beautiful, heavy, detailed, functional, looks like a piece of art. Extremely easy to install. Might be over the top decorating but I love it and everyone who visits comments on how neat they think it is. Spent months trying to talk myself out of it, so glad I didn't! Replacement for plate on older home I just purchased, so placement was dictated by original. Chose brass color to match elements on the door but like the black accent on the brass that tones it down.

I was looking for a button that didn't have a plastic or silicone tip because the evening sun has degraded 4 of them in 13 years. The button (like the rest of it), is made of brass. OK Sun- what ya got? It seems pricey, but it (the large lion) is much nicer than any other doorbell button even close to the price. Customer service is great. The first one I received didn't work. I received the replacement the next day. Stuff happens, and for one reason or another - sometimes a product doesn't work when it gets to you. How well that company makes it right is important. Five stars, highly recommend the product and the company.

Our home was built in the '60's and has a LOT of older original devices throughout. That made finding a large enough doorbell cover plate a real challenge to find. I didn't want to have to re-stucco the wall cut-out when updating. This one fit the bill perfectly and it really is both well made and super attractive. The only hard part was deciding which Akatva product to purchase! They're all unique and beautiful, but this one suits me just fine.

This is a very heavy, well-made doorbell with a push button that’s made from shiny brass. Although it’s not lighted, the brass button makes it easy to see where to push. This particular model is also FLUSH, so no need to drill a hole for the “guts.” I deducted one star, however, because the small screws that are supposed to hold the two wires don’t tighten enough, resulting in them coming off when attaching the doorbell. But, there’s an easy fix, and I wish the instructions would have mentioned this: instead of fiddling around with getting the wires around the screws, simply and carefully unscrew them enough to thread both wires below the screws. This will keep them in place when attaching it to the wall. In my case, I removed an existing door bell that had failed after 15 years and simply replaced it with this beauty, which was large enough to cover the old cutout and still allowing me to have space to drill in the screws into the stucco with a plastic anchor, of course. Overall, very happy!!
