Only purchase I made that worked. Initially thought they hadn’t stayed lit and wouldn’t smoke enough. However after a trying loads of products to kill this infestation, I was free of flies. Repeated a couple of days later to be sure and I’ve been clear for a more than a week now. Would recommend and buy again

I have bought this product multiple times to treat cluster fly issues in various loft spaces and out-buildings on a farm. The product is easy to light, with a good wick. It does emit a large amount of smoke, so be aware of smoke alarms and be careful not to inhale. It can permeate through down-lights as mentioned in other reviews, and can impact any fabric in a room. I'd agree that the product has low residual odour but still persists for several days. You need a heat-proof base to go underneath the bomb as it does get hot as it burns. Expect to need multiple treatments, with 2x per year a good recommendation. Very effective product and would purchase again.

Bought to clear loft of flies hatched in springtime. As is the case most of the time, the flies had all gone before the items arrived, not due to any delay in delivery I must add. those that could not find a way out had died. Kept the items for next year

I set up 3 of these on a baking tray in the garage and set them alight. Within 30 mins the smoke had gone into the cavity walls exactly as we were hoping and killed all the cluster flys. Very strong stuff. Thanks

I must say this was great. Opened my lounge door one morning and it was absolutely over run with big bottle flies. It was actually scary to go in, there were so many and it stunk! Bought these based on previous reviews on amazon. Followed the instructions but did use 4 in the room because I thought the size was small. Sealed the door with plastic sheeting after starting them and stayed out for more than the 24 hours. Smoke had all gone when I opened it up and the carpet looked black with all the dead flies on it! Disgusting topic I know and I was very shocked it happened in my house! The culprit- a poor bird had fallen down through the chimney breast which was open at the time due to renovation. Haven’t had any more since so very happy with the result of this product.

It still needs to go in some sort of metal tray or an old pot, but these are safer than others in that it smoulders when lit, instead of giving out a shower of sparks like I've had previously with other brands when lighting.

I used two of these in quite a large loft space. All cluster flies were either killed for forced to leave. I use once a year in September and the flies are gone until the following summer.
