It works great when you get the knack of using it ,but it does take practice.

I bought this as a gift for a family member who is now struggling to open some jars and bottles. I have a similar product that I need to use occasionally and this model is virtually identical. She reports that it works perfectly, it is a larger item than she expected but then it is designed with several sizes of bottles and jars in mind, and it take away a lot of the work of opening tight lids when hands are not able to do it. An easy recomendation at a very low cost. This is perfect for most people, not just elders or those with weakened grips.

Works well enough, but can be tricky with lids that fit the widest opening.

Ok for most jars but not lids of 8.5cm diameter- the Specially Selected range of jams fro Aldi. Handles open too wide to operate with one hand while holding jar with other. So not 5 stars.

L'ho regalato a mia madre, che a causa della vecchiaia non riesce più a fare forza sui tappi delle bottiglie per aprirle, e ne è rimasta contentissima: temevo fosse fragile, e invece è piuttosto robusto (beninteso, non bisogna sforzarlo con tappi più grandi del diametro massimo), comodissimo e facilmente lavabile

Everyone told me I was wasting my money by buying this. Ha! I LOVE it!!! I bought it because my arthritic fingers don’t work as well as they used to. I go through a lot of distilled water (humidifier & CPAP), so this tool is the only tool I’ve used that actually opens the 4L jug.

I bought this one for in my car. Recovering from broken arm on top of arthritic hands made it impossible to open a bottle of water. Now when I forget to get help opening a bottle I can do it myself which I prefer to asking people in store I purchase it from.
