Great product. I have had two in situ for the past 10 weeks to keep my lab puppy safe in an open plan house with larger than average openings. The only problem at the moment is she fits through the cat flap. She looks too big but just glides on through. No problem for me as the cat is terrified of her anyway so won't go near the gate yet. As she gets bigger they will be invaluable. She tries everything in her power to jump up and get over it but just can't do it provided you lock the red clip in place. If I don't lock it down she can jump up and open it and escape. As I said they have been there for 10 weeks between lounge and kitchen and are as firmly locked in place today as when we fitted them without any adjustments. They are strong and easy to use. Highly recommended. A life saver of a product with a puppy.

This gate is very strong and perfect to keep my German Shepherd downstairs (although she's only 5 months so I can't be sure about when she'll be fully grown) but the best about this gate is the small door at the bottom, I leave it open so my smaller dogs and cats can go through it so I don't have to keep opening the gate, but I can also close it if I'm moping the floor. The lock mechanism is very easy, I just lift the top bit to open it, but for those with small children they can lock it easily so children can't open it. This gate is the best I ever had. I didn't need to use the extenders down the stairs.

What a great product - it kept my cat and my mum's dog apart when I stayed with her lately. It also provides a useful 'porch' for me in my new house, ensuring that my cat doesn't run outside when I open the door. Good quality product!

I always make a point to completely and honestly review good and bad points. This was easy and quick to install and provided what we needed which was a way to give the cat access but not the dog. It means our Norwegian Forest cat can get into a room with a bit of privacy. This tells you a little about the dimensions, Nessie is a big cat but can get through the door, Vida our northern inuit dog can not get anything other than her nose through. I'd still suggest measuring your animals and checking the size works for you. Nessie struggles with cat flaps (she's a bit daft) so the fact that this a door works perfectly for us despite the fact that most gates with the actual flap are cheaper. There is one downfall. There is no way to hold the cat door open. It swings shut behind Nessie, it has no hook or anything to hold it open and it can not be removed. I've had to tie it open with a shoelace which will eventually be changed to a cable tie but it would have been nicer if the door could come completely off.

Fitted our wide doorway to the utility, has a very clever small door ideal for cat access but keeps dog out. Well made, easy to fit. Just the job.

purchased in readiness for puppies arriving - to provide cat with an escape route upstairs. easy fitting instructions and the gate is sturdy. At the moment the puppies will be able to go through the cat gate but this won't be a problem in a few weeks. Note: our cat is very timid and i chose this cat as he can see through the bars and reduces his nervousness.

Very easy to fit and has stayed in place with just suction despite the weight of an ever growing Labrador puppy. Great product and one of the few that fitted my opening.

This product is a joke! Most importantly, the 4" extension was missing (the description says this is included), so it was way too small for our doorway of 104cm. However, I believe even with the extension, the gate would not be fit for purpose, as the rubber ends that push against the wall are very small. The extensions itself make the construction a bit wobbly. Overall I doubt this would restrain a rambunctious toddler or a large dog! Returned for a refund!
