12 Inch Shelf Bracket Heavy Duty L Shelf Bracket 12 x 8 Inch Metal Shelf Bracket with Hardware, Black, 4 Pack

Have purchased and used several of these brackets around our household, mostly in our garage. We have a bulkhead though the middle of our home around the duct work from the HVAC system. The brackets were perfect for creating additional storage on both sides of this bulkhead approximately 16" below the ceiling. Perfect place to store materials like paint, trim work, pipes, and more. There were also helpful in building additional shelving in our garage, utilizing empty wall space to organize workshop supplies neatly. For the garage I utilized 3/4" plywood and 1 1/2" pine, all painted with Rust-Oleum Gloss Black enamel paint, although these brackets were used to create nice display shelves throughout our home where butcherblock hardwood was stained black for a nice professional look. The brackets are of great quality and can be installed either direction depending on your needs, providing much strength if mounted properly to your wall. I always overkill on fasteners, don't be afraid to the same!

Pretty sturdy. Nice finish. All the hardware included although the wall anchors are substandard if you want to crank down the screws at all. Looks good in our kids shower supporting two shelves for towels. We put the bars on the wall facing up so they are hidden behind the towels in the shelf. Probably somewhat stronger with the supports down but good enough for our use. Happy with the purchase.

They look very nice. Although they hold a lot of weight, given the thickness of the metal, if you put a lot of weight on them (say, several bottles of whiskey) they will bend down. Makes the shelves have a slope. But they do look very nice. (I upgraded the screws to hold the weight I planned to support).

Sturdy strong quality materials

These braces are massively sturdy and thick! These will be used in our butler pantry, so will be holding a lot of food products/weight and I'm not concerned AT ALL about how much weight they may be holding! To the manufacturer: Awesome job!

If I could give this product zero stars, I absolutely would. These brackets are ridiculously weak—two of them couldn't even support a 12" x 48" half-inch piece of plywood with just 30 pounds of weight on it. They bent so badly that I had to install additional support braces to keep everything from sliding off. On top of that, the screws were atrociously cheap. Every single screw head snapped off while I was drilling them in—even though I had carefully pre-drilled the holes. There's absolutely no excuse for such poor quality. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this product at all costs.
