Finally! A game that is actually a ton of fun for 2 adults so you don't have to wrangle the kids or some dude off the street to come join in. You do need to carefully read instructions and refer back to booklet during the first time you play. After that, you're off and running. Hubby and I just played our first 3 games in a row. There definitely is some strategy involved, and the game is complex enough to not get boring. Yet, it is simple enough for a savvy 10 year old or a tired grandma. Each time you play will be different, as you can choose from a variety of strategies to earn enough points to win. In some ways it is similar to Sushi-Go: quick to learn, fast paced, half-hour game, great for two plays or several. We got the premium edition and love the cute sturdy tin and wooden playing pieces.

This is a delightful game that can be shared with people who are just getting into the tabletop scene, yet have a strategy engaging enough for the experienced gamer. This quick to learn, quick to set up, and quick to play card game is beautifully designed with adorable wooden food tokens and playing cards. The designers also include cards that people can customize with their own kitties. This is a laid-back casual game that I will certainly make use of when encouraging people to branch out beyond the standard board/card games.

Buy this. It is excellent. One of our favorites. The expansion pack it great as well. Fun and easy.

My daughters have become a bit picky about the board and card games that they will play. Each New Year's I look for a new game to add to our collection. The past couple of years, my daughters have quickly lost interest in the new games. Not this case with this one! They love Cat Lady! It's a fairly easy game to learn, but very entertaining. I like that it doesn't take too long to complete the game, but somehow it doesn't get boring either. Some have compared it to Sushi Go, but I think it's even better. Adorable illustrations too!

I bought Cat Lady: Premium Edition for $17.99 on December 6, 2019. This is an easy-to-learn and fun game, and I would recommend it for just about everybody. The tin case and the upgraded wooden tokens that comes in the premium version are really nice, and makes this game really standout in my shelf. The game itself plays nicely for two people. I have not played the game with three or four players total, but it works really well for just two. We did feel that we were restricted a bit with just three stray games for the entire game, so we created a new rule where the stray cats change every few turns. They are stray cats, so it makes sense that the stray cats come and go. This rule gave us a new level of urgency knowing that the stray cats will not hang around forever. Overall, I definitely recommend getting the premium version. Even just the upgraded wooden tokens are really worth it in my opinion.

Oh Cat Lady... why did I even buy you? Oh yeah, because everyone else likes cats and wanted to play this game, so I gave in.. and I'm glad I did! Cat Lay has a certain charm, mixed with truly enjoable game play. It's so EASY to play, just pick a row or column and take the cards. Yup, now you know how to play. But the beauty of that simplicity is in deciding which row or column to take, because the cards you pick up will give you points in various ways. Collecting cats is nice, but you have to get cards that allow you to feed them, so you don't want too many and you have to meet their dietary needs. Plus you'll want to collect different toys and costumes for the critters to have an enjoyable life. It's twee but it works and is surprisingly more calculating to win than meets the eye. And THAT is where this game hooked me and continues to do so, because very few games manage that balance of ease to learn and play while providing enough of a mental challenge to keep a seasoned gamer hooked. I've played well over a hundred board and card games and have yet to find a game that accomplishes that as well as Cat Lady does.

This game is easy to learn, strategic, so fun, and cute!! My cousin recently brought it to a get together and we had such a blast. I ended up purchasing it for my husband and I and I'm also gifting it to a couple friends. I highly recommend it!

Great card game, even at 2 players! Easy to learn, there are a few tutorials on youtube. Also good for adults as well as older children. Lots of counting involved. Great theme. Collecting sets of cards and foods for extra points Simple but good mechanics. Don't be put off by the pinky box and theme.. This is a good strategy game for all the family. The quality of the box and cards are great and very sturdy. The components are also made from wood which is great too. Love it. Keeper game in our house!

We are avid gamers and this is our new favourite game. Just the right blend of strategy and cuteness. The expansion for 3 players has some fun cards for 3+ person play, but the game is more fun and more balanced with 2 players, we find.

Ho imparato a giocare a questo gioco usando l’app android. L’app non consente sfortunatamente il gioco online o con un altro giocatore che usi lo stesso schermo. Per questo ho deciso di compare il gioco "vero". C’è uno svantaggio: il conteggio dei punti è un po’ lento. Giocando su android posso finire una partita in 1-2 minuti. Con un giocatore reale ci vorrà più tempo, soprattutto nel conteggio finale. Detto questo, ne vale la pena: le regole si spiegano in due minuti, c’è fortuna, ma anche abbastanza spazio per strategia. Consiglio il gioco soprattutto con due giocatori: a mio avviso con più giocatori le partite dipendono troppo dalla fortuna. Si tratta di un "fishing game", un po’ come la scopa, ma a me piace di più questo. I materiali sono buoni e sono soddisfatto.
