MARLOWE. No. 141 Shave Cream 6 oz, Conditioning Shaving Cream with Shea Butter & Coconut Oil, Smooths & Protects for a Close Shave, Aloe Citron Scent

I've tried many different shave creams , including expensive brands to low cost. Marlowe is one of the best I've tried. I use a razor with standard 5 blade disposable heads. This shave cream gave me the closest shave of all the brands. The cream is slick, but rinses off easily. My skin is soft and there is no burning feel from the ingredients or razor burn. The smell is ok, not great, but not unpleasant either. I use about a nickel size dollop, so a bottle should last a long time. I highly recommend and will be purchasing Marlowe shave cream again.

Like so many other men who have written on this shave product, I don’t often write reviews. But each time I use the Marlowe, I think, man, I gotta tell somebody about this stuff. I too, have been shaving for a LONG time. And recently I have grown a mustache/goatee in order to minimize how often I have to shave. But I just got tire of looking at the old man face in the mirror. I broke down and ordered some of the ever present online razors (I think you may know who I mean...their name begins with an H) and they included a free trial of their shower soap and shave foam. Junk. The razors are good, but I needed a gel or a cream. My dad used to shave with Gillette Brushless, and I have been fond of those types, because gel or foam just didn’t give my sensitive skin the protection I needed. Marlowe 141 does. It can be re-worked back across a shaved area, and you can shave closer. You just need to work it into a thick lather. Rub it in real good and keep working it up into your skin. It protects, goes a long way, and leaves your skin feeling clean and not soapy. My friend, I would like to know why you don’t want to try this. You owe it to yourself.

This shaving cream has given me the closest & smoothest shave I've had in a long time (at least 5 years), & I've tried at least 6-7 different brands of shaving cream in these last ~5 years. My face feels as smooth as a newborn baby's cheeks after shaving with this cream. However, the only flaw of this product that I've observed is that it can cause a slight skin irritation (a mild burning sensation) if I don't wash my face off immediately after a shave. That said, there has not been any facial appearance changes (e.g. skin rashes, redness) due to the aforementioned irritation, & as long as I wash my face or shower right away, I can easily avoid any irritation. Bottom line - I'm still highly satisfied with the purchase, I think I finally found a shaving cream that gives me the best looking & most comfortable shave, & I'll likely make this my default shaving cream.

Just have to give this product some review love, because it's really great! I had used Avenno sensitive skin shave cream before this and I'm really really happy with the switch. I've reordered twice so far. The aroma is earthy and is my only slight complaint, because I like odorless things. But, it is a welcoming aroma that does not follow you around all day. The added benefit of my razor bumps going away was awesome! And, although I'm plenty young looking, it does have a way of leaving your overall facial appearance improved. I splash my whole face with the last rinse residue water just to get some of that skin benefit affect to my whole face. Wrote the review mostly to support the product, cause I want to make sure they stay in business, it's an excellent product.

Product performs fine but there is nothing amazing about it especially for $14. "Average" immediately comes to mind for how to describe the overall quality of this cream. For instance, the cream is not thick, but it provides average slickness for the razor. It has a pleasant scent. The cream is easy wash away (because it is thin.) I have tried a lot of shaving creams some of which were more expensive than this one. None, let me repeat that again, none are as good as Cremo’s original barber grade shaving cream. Cremo costs less than half the price of Marlowe. Cremo is very thick, is extremely slick and has a light pleasant scent, whereas Marlowe is thin and has average slickness. I do not work for Cremo. I do not have any angle to say this other than to point out a product that is far superior to this $14 Marlowe cream. It is a poor value. I would only buy it again if Cremo was unavailable and if it was around the $6 price point.

Very comfortable, soft, of good quality. I recommend it. It works well.

I've been using this shaving cream for a few years now. It doesn't lather like the can variety, but does glide pretty well with a razor. The scent on it is very subtle, I can barely smell anything. This would be my only complaint with this product. So I am expanding my horizon and trying Harry's to see how that pans out.

I wasted half of my life without this . Wish i could have this earlier. This is magic. My worn out razor works likenew. No pizza face. The blade just glides. No words to express. I m blessed now.
