Does anyone know what size screw this takes in the middle?? My swivel tv bracket comes with 40mm screws so I’m hoping this would fit with these?

They came with M8 bolts which screw through the centre of the fixing to pull it tight, so any M8 bolt should fit regardless of length. The supplied bolts are fairly short but may fit your mount.

Can these be used anywhere on plasterboard?

You may also have issues if your wall is double boarded, as some newer build properties (mainly flats) are built this way. I believe these plugs are good for a max depth of 15mm
