Holds better than any other hair gel I have used. Minimal shine and NOT GREASY. This is the first I have found to be truly matte. Great product.

In the past I typically bought the first product I saw that was reasonably priced. This is the first product I have used that has a perfect balance between price, quantity and quality. The hold is strong yet natural looking and feeling. Doesn't take much product to achieve the look you want so you won't constantly have to purchase a new container. Give it a shot, I'm glad I did and will be a repeat customer.

Update: So it's been over a year since my original review that I forgot to update. I've bought this product multiple times since then as kind of my go-to hair product. It's not the best product out there, but considering the price point and the hold it gives me for someone who has thicker hair, it's great. I've also tried other products since my original review. Most are twice the cost, the hold sucks (maybe it works well for people with thinner hair), or it has a weird smell. Speaking of smell, some people say this product has a weird smell, but I disagree. Maybe I've just gotten used to the smell, but if this does have one, it's one of the milder ones in my opinion. I'm updating to 4 out of 5 because it basically is my go to product. Considering this is what $10? It's worth a try if you're looking for a new product. So to be fair, I haven't tried using the product yet, so this review is purely based off my odd circumstance. Product arrived today, packaging was fine. It had the typical clear plastic over the cover so you couldn't undo the top. Took it off and opened the container to find the seal (inside the container) halfway undone. Inside the container is the actual hair product with a fingerprint in the middle of it lol... I'm not sure if I should be worried but I mean it's hair product...so I'll still use it unless I'm not thinking of something. Wax itself appears to be similar to what other user posted. But yeah, a fingerprint. Not sure how that works but it's there and it's not mine. Will update my review when I actually use the product. Just hope it's actual hair product I'll be putting in my hair and not something weird lol.

Second time buying the product, was very happy with it the first time, but this second time I was sent a product from a 2022 batch that expires in 5 days. I just happened to check the bottom of product, where the expiration date was inconspicuously placed on an almost transparent sticker. Very bad look to sneak an almost expired product and pass it as new, I'm disappointed.

It has an extremely strong odor, somewhat similar to baby powder or some other diaper-related smell, which makes me self-conscious about wearing it. It doesn't spread very easily at room temp, and will often just stick in one spot even if rubbed and spread between the palms. I found a way around this by using a hair dryer on hot to melt it and let it spread more evenly throughout the hair. With a hair dryer it works nicely. On the upside it lasts a long time compared to other hair products, around twice as long as cream type hair styling wax. Everything stays in place for the first few hours after applying it, then a little less throughout the day, so sometimes more than one application is necessary. The odor seems to wear off a bit over time as well which is nice. If it didn't smell like baby powder I would certainly buy more of this.
