Salomon Trail Gaiters Low Unisex Gaiters, Ease of Use, Durability, Protection

Great product, just hard to know which is best size. I end up ordering all sizes to try it out. I had trainers size 8 and used M. Be mindful in hot weather as they do keep heat in your shoes, you can end up with heat rush if overheated and walking for hours (doing challenges) However they do keep stones out of shoes and also felt like I had bit of support on my ankles.

Great item, I love the Salomon brand. All my Salomon trainers fit perfect and I actually needed these to go with my Inov8's which I had bought before discovering Salomon Speedcross. Inov8s have a much lower back than the Salomons and that just didn't fit me, and I needed something to stop my foot slipping out of the shoe. I didn't like the look of the Inov8 gaiters, didn't look sturdy enough, so I opted for these. I had decided because of my love for my Speedcross that for obstacle races I would use the Inov8s, because if I was destined to lose a shoe, I would rather it be one of them and not a Salomons. I tried them out, combined with my Inov8s on a hour trail run, and they worked perfect. Shoe stayed put and no debris got in. Then for the big test, I took a leap of faith and went straight on to do a 13k obstacle race (Major Series North). I couldn't have been more happier, shoes stayed on, even through knee deep mud which would have easily sucked off a shoe or two (which did actually happen to those poor gaiterless souls). They stayed fastened and in place, No chaffing and I had no trouble with debris entering the shoes and felt confident the whole race. I would definitely recommend them.

Excellent gaiters preventing the worst of mud and water entering a crosstrail training shoe. Well designed and easy to use, the Salomon Trail Gaiters are a must for any serious off=road ultra runner. Happily fitting non-Salomon shoes these gaiters help ensure the trainer stays put in the worst mud. Sizing is accurate.

they fit very well and I used them to dig a hole in my garden and my socks were clean at the end of the days digging!

Not good at all, too small, kept losing one of them and had to go back looking for it, would like money back but didn’t return on time from Camino.

Good to hike

These are a great design but if you have a skinny ankles they may not be the best as too hard to close the gap at the top. I purchased the size small but had to return as to obtain a tight fit I had to overlap the velcro quite considerably resulting in the Velcro adhering and ripping the stretchy material. Velcro strips should be longer to allow for tighter fit. Purchased a set of gaiters with a draw string at the ankle instead.

Great product. Used for a tough mudder event, worked well prevented stones and mud getting in my shoes. Only had to readjust them a couple of times. As expected jumping in and out of muddy water ect.

Die Gamaschen habe ich mir für eine 20-Tägige Wanderung gekauft obwohl ich mir nicht sicher war ob das überhaupt Sinn macht. Gleich am ersten Tag, als es den Berg runter auf einem Schotterweg ging, musste ich innerhalb 30min zweimal anhalten um die kleinen Steinchen aus den Wanderschuhe rauszufischen. Bis mir eingefallen ist, dass ich die Gamaschen gekauft habe. Einmal drauf, habe ich sie die nächsten 19 Tage nicht wieder runtergenommen. Am Anfang etwas engsitzend und gewöhnungsbedürftig aber sehr bald kaum noch zu merken. Außer einer spricht sie darauf ein :) Mir ist das tatsächlich sehr oft passiert. Einmal zu Hause, habe ich die Gamaschen mit meinem restlichen Sportsachen in der Waschmaschine bei 30° gewaschen und die sind wieder wie neu. + Leicht und Kompakt (nehmen nicht viel platz ein) + Gutes wenn auch gewöhnungsbedürftige Tragegefühl + Strapazierfähig (Kiesel, Schotter, Matsch, Regen, Sand) + Guter Schutz vor Steinchen und Schmutz + Starker Kletterverschluss (nach einpaar Tage verbiegt sich der obere Teil etwas, 'klebt' aber immer noch sehr gut) Kurzgefasst, zweitbeste Kaufentscheidung für diese Wanderreise. Die erste war T-Shirts aus 100% Merinowolle :)

Kept the rocks out. Allowed me to rock my high speed low cut trail hikers without getting crud inside the shoes. Take the time to make sure you get the right size. I can see how things could go wrong if not sized properly.

サロモンの、ごついラグ（Speed2）のトレランシューズ用に購入。 このゲイターは、シューズ裏に巻くゴムが切れるとリペアが大変そうなのですが、色に惹かれて購入。 ラグが深いシューズだと、底に巻くゴムは地面につかないので、その部分を好んで石を踏まなければ大丈夫だと思います。 装着感もよく、小石など入りませんでした。 ただ、サロモン以外のシューズにもつけてみたのですが、ゲイターの底に巻くゴムの幅が広く、いわゆる遊びがないため、つけたいとする場所にセットできず、ラグのしたにゴムがきたりします。 汎用性か、サロモンでそろえるか、になると思います。ただ、すべてのサロモンにうまく装着できるかは検証していないので、できれば試着をするのがよいと思います。
