Bose Music Amplifier – Speaker amp with Bluetooth & Wi-Fi connectivity

Seems well made. No on/off power switch, but supposedly sleeps after 20 minutes of inactivity. Paired with bose 251 outdoor speakers and sounds great. Note that although 2 sets of speakers are supported, they operate on a single channel only. Bose app seems okay. Setup was easy and uneventful. Everything worked, except I could not get Chromecast to work with Sirius streaming app. Amazon Music and Pandora both fine, and BT worked okay as well.

Bought this amp to use with our new home’s ceiling speakers. We had to have them installed professionally, but this had more to do with our own wiring rather than with the speakers. For someone who knows what they are doing, the install seems super easy. The Bose app that is used with this app is super easy to install and use. We absolutely love having this is amp in our home. It was well worth the price and the sound quality is fabulous and clear. The Bluetooth connectivity was very easy to establish and super convenient to use on a daily basis.

After a year of daily, almost, use. Almost is due to days without connection. Sure, I can always listen on my phone. Just don't buy it. I've owned several Bose products in the past. I highly recommend those I recommend a PASS on this product. Issues- there is one button. Everything else is done via an app. I've had many problems connecting the Bose amplifier to my echo dot. As it has many times in the past, the app displays a black screen. Sometimes a white screen. I'm both cases the previously connected echo dot does not exist. In these cases there are two remedies, wait a few hours and it might connect later. Same wifi signal strength, same day, only change being time. Second, a hard reboot will sometimes remedy the issue. I am frustrated and greatly disappointed. If you choose to ignore this warning, best of luck to you.

I LOVE this addition to my home theater system. It pairs easily in the Bose app and does great with multi0-device volume control. I also love the sound quality. Where was this 10 years ago before Sonos was launched?

I am absolutely thrilled with this amp. I am finally utilizing my very good passive speakers throughout the house. I read the review where the (valid) complaint was the inability to control which speaker pairs are active but have solved that a couple of ways. One, it is so easy to remove and replace the terminal blocks that I can quickly “turn on a set of speakers”. Two, I connected one terminal block to a switch box with 4 sets on speakers and can control which speaker is on. I would not expect all 4 to work at the same time but this gives me plenty of flexibility as to where to hear my music throughout the house - including a set in the backyard. I have also been happy to be able to use my Bose Solo 5 that is connected to a tv. The setup was super easy. I love this amp!

Works perfectly with the Bose acoustimass 5 module. The only thing is that whilst the app is great, the amplifier should come with a remote control or physical buttons on the device for simple tasks such as source switching and volume control. Otherwise having to open the app and to make these adjustments can be inconvenient

Easy to setup. No remote, just download the app and control the unit from there. I use the source as optical. If no sound using Netflix, I used Bluetooth and it works great. Sounds is amazing. Hooked it up to Bose speakers. Crisp and clear! Love it!
