Not top quality, but at this price that can’t be expected . Mag base is strong enough, but not as strong as those costing three times as much. DTI works perfectly adequately. Perfect for occasional use.

Decent quality Mag stand, as others have said, worth it for the stand itself, though the plastic arm clamps aren't the best. The DTI itself is pretty cheap & cheerful, but is accurate enough when calibrated and easy to read. Though that can be a bit tricky to achieve. Though the Mag stand is pretty good, it is difficult to clamp the DTI and arms securely enough to prevent movement. The Dti has to be zeroed a few times tapping the gauge each time until there is no deviation because of slack in the clamps/arms/gauge. Turning the gauge's bezel to calibrate it will knock it out of true as well - so very time consuming. When clamps and arms are tightened up securely and the gauge calibrated to a known measure, the unit reads well and stays true. Purchased because my quality instrument has been "borrowed" and I needed to measure some engine clearances. A video snippet shows carefully unlocking the magnet and repositioning gave a consistant zero (to a tolerance close enough for jazz) which surprised me. However this takes a lot longer to set up well than a quality instrument does. Several readings are required to have confidence in the unit.

This is well made and does the job , and has a strong magnet, brilliant for checking disc runout.

I only needed a magnetic base for an existing dti I already had. This seemed to fit the bill as it was low priced but with a bonus dti. Mag base works well enough but the dti has a plastic back/mount plate which is distorted creating a gap into the dti and hence could allow moisture and dirt into the dti. The dti works for now as I only use this for base ‘centering and run out checks’ but I will use my regular calibrated dti for detailed work.

No puedo comparar con otros productos similares, porque este es el único que he tenido, pero me gusta. Para los interesados, aquí dejo algunos datos (la descripción del producto en la página web es prácticamente inexistente: en este momento solo se mencionan las medidas y peso del embalaje). El conjunto (base + soporte + comparador) pesa 1315 g. La base magnética mide 77 mm x 50 mm (ancho) x 55 mm (alto). La rosca es M 10 x 1,50. La fuerza magnética máxima que he medido (sobre chapa horizontal de hierro gruesa y lisa, y despegando en vertical, sin inclinar) son 23 Kg. Las barras del soporte son macizas, de hierro cromado. La barra vertical mide 181 mm x 11 mm y la otra 159 mm x 10 mm. Las abrazaderas, negras, parecen ser de aluminio, con eje y casquillos de hierro pavonado. Las palomillas son de plástico con tuerca de hierro embutida. El comparador tiene resolución de 0,01 mm, carrera de 12,5 mm, vástago de 8 mm y diámetro máximo de 58 mm.

Prodotto ovviamente di livello amatoriale ma ben strutturato con un'ottima base di appoggio. La calamita è molto forte(ci ho sollevato 5kg di ferro senza problemi) , quello che trovo meno "preciso" è il suo posizionamento sul pezzo messo sul tornio. Una volta posizionato e girato la ghiera dello "0" la posizione non resta fermo e sballa. Sicuramente da preferire il modello digitale per evitare spostamenti involontari durante la taratura. Per il prezzo che ha gli do comunque 5 stelle perché a poco piu di 20€ non si può pretendere nulla di più.
