Other people DO read them and base purchases on them. I did. The keyboard was well packaged and the manual is in English. It takes 2 AAA batteries (not supplied). I followed the instructions for pairing the keyboard with my chosen device and all went smoothly. One nice touch (explained in the manual) is that the Bluetooth light only flashes when it is being discovered, then the light goes out and you are not faced with a constantly flashing light whilst you are using it. In use. I turn the keyboard on, set my TV to the right HDMI connecter then turn on the tablet. Keyboard is recognised straight away and then I am faced with a 47 inch version of Windows. The keys have a positive feel and are nicely laid out (US keyboard layout, but easy to get used too). The Touchpad is a nice size and is very responsive (perhaps a little too responsive, but I'm getting used to it).
