I recently added the Citadel Skulls box to my hobby stash and honestly it’s been a major win for scenery and basing work. The scale and variety are exactly what you'd hope for—a huge selection of skulls in various shapes and sizes, including human skulls with and without jawbones, damaged skulls, alien skulls, beast skulls, and Warriors’ trophies. The fact that there are 340 pieces in the set means I can scatter them across dozens of bases or build up atmospheric terrain without worrying about running out. Warhammer +1 From a modeller’s perspective, the quality is typical Games Workshop: crisp detail, clean castings, minimal flash. Some pieces require minor cleanup around mould lines, but nothing tedious. Because the kit includes skulls for multiple races and foes (Orks, T’au, Genestealer hybrids, etc.), it gives great flexibility too—whether I’m working on a chaotic diorama, a base rush for a Death-world board, or just adding trophy clutter to a Chaos army. Element Games +1 On the painting side, they’re fun to paint. The skulls’ hollows and cracks pick up washes beautifully and the variety helps avoid visual repetition across a force. I’ve used them as base scatter, on scenic elements, and even as decorative accents on helmets and weapons. Having so many means I don’t feel precious about using them liberally. One practical observation: since the box is so large with mixed pieces, it’s worth taking a few minutes to sort them into types (skulls with jaws, alien skulls, bird skulls etc) before gluing or painting. It saves time when you need a specific style. Also, despite the low price per piece due to volume, if you only need a handful of skulls you may find it overkill—but for someone like me who bases dozens of miniatures regularly, the value is excellent. Overall, if you’re into miniatures, basing, terrain or just want a premium scatter piece kit that gives great quantity and quality, the Citadel Skulls set is superb. It hits both hobby-value and practical utility and I’ll certainly be reaching back for another box when I’ve used most of this one. Highly recommended.

The detail is amazing, and the price is great for what you get.

A large collection of various skulls,well moulded and ideal to add detail to either your collection,or to scratch build as I do. When you purchase Warhammer kits you will find they contain extra parts which enable you to add variety to your models. The parts can then be made into custom models( so remember to save the extra bits!.😊

If you're into kitbashing even a little a bit, this is something you should just have, loads of variety and more than enough skulls for the skull throne.

Mix of sizes ,some very small but great detail , I am new to painting minis and these look great on bases of demons etc. Tweezers are a must.will buy again for larger terrain.

If you are after loads of skulls, then this is perfect. I mean there are so many I don't even feel the need to ration them as my three piranha-like children attack the sprues. Crucially I found them cheaper through this seller than on the GW site or any independents. Quality is great and definition is exceptional.

These are a little fiddly to paint, I've found it easier to stick them on the base and then carefully paint them. However, they are a great scenery piece for warhammer models and there are a variety of shapes and sizes. You can even pile some of the small skulls up into a pile to add a further level to the base.

Bought for hubby. He just kept saying "SKULLS!!!" and has repeatedly told me how many there are. I am also being kept informed of when and how he's using them, so that's nice. He's happy so I'm happy. No idea if it's value for money or not, but there are *lots* of skulls. Shipped well before expected date too.

Fantastic! For base sceneries for Games workshop Miniatures. I'd recommend painting all the skulls beforehand so it's easier to use when basing the miniatures. A good tip is to spray it all in bone colour and then use null oil on the top of one to give them a realistic look
