I bought a Libraton Heavy Duty Pop Rivet Gun because we have a metal fence with a full-height metal gate into the garden. The gate hinges were held by self-tapping screws (often a bad idea) that over time worked loose, and constant re-tightening was stripping the screw threads and widening the holes. I decided to use rivets instead of screws and looked at riveting tools available on Amazon. I chose the Libraton because it looked as though it would withstand use. I was happy to pay a little extra for quality... As the screws fell out one by one, I replaced them with rivets. The rivet gun was good for inserting the rivet, pulling the wire to expand the rivet inside and then cutting off the wire. However, things went downhill after that, because the cut end of the wire (2 or 3 inches) was stuck inside the tool. I found the only way I could remove the cut wire was by partially dismantling the tool !! I HAD TO DISMANTLE THE TOOL EVERY SINGLE TIME I INSERTED A RIVET. After multiple disassemblies and reassemblies, the threads were becoming worn. I inserted 4 rivets today, and dismantled the Libraton tool 4 times. I have had enough! I will try to find a much more robust pop riveter, and pay more for it, whether on Amazon (once bitten...) or elsewhere.

Nice kit, though all I needed was the tool. The tool itself does draw the rivet up tight, but it then breaks the rivet shaft far up inside the tool, leaving most of the shaft still sticking out of the rivet. It does that at least three of every five times I use it. This makes my Dremel an automatic part of the process. Pop-rivet first, then Dremel the rivet shaft off and flush. Pain in the butt. I would not buy this one again and do not recommend it. UPDATE: Libraton Tools saw my review and, unsolicited, messaged me and offered a full refund. I told them I appreciated the offer, but I'd prefer a replacement tool -- not a whole new kit, just the tool. They quickly responded asking for my address and I received a new kit. I am impressed that they bothered in the first place and more so that they offered a refund no strings attached. And at no time have they asked that I change my review. Got to appreciate a business ethic like that. And the replacement? I installed 10 rivets in a test piece. On the first one the tool snapped the rivet shaft properly but retained the snapped rivet shaft -- I pushed it out with a new rivet. After that if performed perfectly. From the same bag of rivets, I tried the "old" tool again and sure enough, it left the shaft about 3/4 the way up and would require the Dremel treatment. The tool is functional and the company ethic superb.

La maquina remacha bien, y se ve robusta y bien acabada. La verdad es que he puesto 10 remaches, y creo que para un uso doméstico irá bien. Para uso intensivo e industrial no se si sería conveniente.
