If using a king-sized bed or a bed with only one side to exit, set the pad to TX-only and place it on one side of the bed. NEVER SET IT IN THE MIDDLE! If using a twin-sized bed, with loved one exiting the bed from both sides of the bed, set the pad to Both-sides. Step 2 - Pair the Pad with the Monitor Next turn ON the monitor and press the “PAIR” button on the monitor until the status LED light turns a steady green. Make sure to complete the pairing before the lights turns off! Then press and release the center zone of the pad to pair it with the monitor. The Status LED light won’t be steady anymore and the Sensor 1 red LED light will blink once to indicate it has been recorded. Just to be safe, please do a quick test. Step 3 - Secure the Pad to the Bed Position the sensor pad across the bed beneath where the hips of the patient will be, and make sure the neck of the pad is hanging off the edge of the mattress. Then secure the pad to the bed, using the clips and rubber bands. Pull the bands tight so the pad will have minimal movement, which greatly reduces false alarms.
