## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I use this to sharpen a sickle?**
A: I have used it to sharpen shears, for curved blades I perfer a Lansky puck, which is easier to handle and offers two grit sizes in one unit.

**Q: Can this be used on an axe?**
A: haven't tried, probably yes but If its quite blunt I think a more robust sharpening block would be more appropriate

**Q: Does it come with instructions.**
A: Very basic instructions as I recall. Experiment with it and you will find that using the sharpener at different angles to the blade will show which has the best effect. I have found it quite effective and will give shears and other cutting equipment a sharper edge. I would not recommend it for small items such as knives or secateurs. Not bad value for money.

**Q: Why will Amazon not deliver this item to my usual UK address?**
A: No idea - unless it is classed as a knife.  Mine was delivered no problem.

It’s a great little sharpener but I wouldn’t use it to sharpen any kind of kitchen knives, you would better off using a whetstone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bushcraft tool

I attached this sharpener to a ten inch ferro rod using some jute twine. After more than 30 years using multiple fire steels and strikers, this sharpener is by far the most effective striker I have ever used. Not only that, but it is also extremely comfortable to hold, even with gloves on. The main purpose of this device is of course to sharpen blades on tools like hedge trimmers, etc, but for me its sharpening ability is just a bonus. The oil applicator in the handle is another one, which is excellent if using this sharpener on knives (use some caution here, and I recommend only on larger fixed blade knives of the type used for bushcraft). And the jute twine...the perfect cord that can be used as a tinder. Altogether an excellent combination for outdoors and woodsy types!
