The absolute best sharpener I have ever used
This is without doubt the best and easiest sharpener I have ever used. We have a really old and damaged but loved kitchen knife. It took quite a few strokes to get the blade sharp again but my goodness it now slices tomatoes thinly with ease. I then did other knives not so badly worn and had them razor sharp in a few strokes. I then had a go at my pocket knife, it achieved an amazing edge, it was slicing paper so easily. I was so impressed I immediately bought one each for my kids.

A Keen Edged Purchase
Having recently bought a high quality (very expensive) Robert Welch (RW) knife, I wanted a sharpener to match. As many will know there's quite a choice of sharpeners out there. In the end, I chose RW's own as, logically, it should match the quality of their knives. Yes, I had taken note of some of the negative reviews. However, I'm pretty sure that some of these are, as is often the case, user error. I've read & applied the instructions carefully. The RW sharpener does a great job, used properly, and I've even managed to sharpen some scissors. You get what you pay for, usually, and this product isn't overpriced for its ease of use & performance.

Great sharpener
Brilliant for sharpening knives than any other method. Easy to use and safe.

Does the job well and consistently.
Unlike the sharpeners which strip the metal from the blade this is a more sensible approach which mimics stone hand sharpening. The safety guard interferes with the knife travel at the handle end but it's no worse than the wear pattern from using a sharpening steel. Blunt knifes cause accidents so keeping yours sharp is a must. If you're not especially handy with a sharpening steel then this is an excellent alternative. In fact I now use my steels infrequently.

A no fuss knife sharpener
If you are a fan of Robert Welch Kitchen knives then this is a great way to keep them sharp. I was going to purchase the Magnetic version, but I'm glad I didn't, as it leaves more room to display my Knives on the mag rail.
