The end is in sight for the Boston Birki
Really pleased I took a punt on these. Have been wearing Boston for years but they are getting really expensive now and they definitely do not last as long as they used to. My first pair lasted 3 or so years and my last pair barely 12 months. I saw these for £26 and thought that as I only use them as a house show I wouldn't mind the slightly croc/Boston hybrid look. Absolutely delighted with the comfort and fit and they don't look that different to the Boston maybe?( Apart from them being red which was a moment of madness I do not yet regret). Added bonus; the pointless buckle on the Boston that snags on throws and fabric furniture is no longer an issue. Boston will always look a little bit classier and neater but they are going to have to halve in price and double in material quality for me to go back to them.

practical and long lasting
I wanted water proof and reasonably sturdy clogs. And that's what I got. I'm not so keen on the look, but they'll do for everyday use around house and garden. (They are comfortable to wear, which is nice.) This addition is written in August 2014: I've been wearing the clogs most days outside, mostly for gardening. I like light shoes for gardening, makes for treading lightly around my messy planting and letting plants self - seed. The clogs did very well, only the insoles show some wear now, and they are easy to clean: take the insoles out, give the lot a good wash and scrub, let it dry in the sun and that's that. I'll definitely buy another pair once these need replacing. (but they are still going strong after two years and lots of use)

Perfect garden clog - on the large size
Perfect for working in garden, come up a size large but work well with thick socks. Easy for washing and leaving outside. I bought a size 7 but 6 would be better, I take a 39 in regular Birkenstock.

Expensive for a Load of rubbish work shoe
Comfort... sadly these were the worst pair of work shoes I have ever had, really low on the feet, even when the top had been stretched, constantly rubbing.. so disappointed in quality Durability... rubbish, within a few weeks of being in a kitchen, started to have cracked areas. So I returned back to Crocs...

I love these Birkies!
I am so happy to have found these Birkies! They are comfort-plus, indoors or out. They fit perfectly and when I do my outside chores, I don't worry about getting them wet. I spend a lot of time indoors, and they are the perfect house slippers, which was my main reason for buying them. All in all, I would advise anyone to get a pair. You just can't go wrong with them!!!!

Birki work shoes
I've worn Birkenstock footwear at work for years, I'm a chef, and it is the most comfortable for me. Last pair was a Birkenstock footbed, Alpro shoe with steel toe caps. These were very comfy and roomy but so heavy I had raised bumps on the tops of my feet. They split after 9 years so bought these. They are much lighter, as no toecap, looked on reviews and most people advised buying a size smaller as they seemed large. I did this but had to send them back as too small! The return service was impressively quick and easy and my new pair came within 4 days. They are very comfortable, but I did buy some memory insoles as the footbeds are a bit hard. Still wouldn't wear anything else. Recommended.
