Behringer SONIC ULTRAMIZER SU9920 Ultimate Stereo Sound Enhancement Processor, Black

A simple way to describe the sound enhancement from this little gem is it enhances the projection of detail within a mix. And really it works well. The two controls for each channel are simple. I have found that the bounce enhancement is the most useful. This does not make the mix deeper but acts to enhance mid bass tones so it feels that you hear it clearer. It does not enhance stereo spread. Its use for me is in a studio where it takes the final mix and sorts out clarity. So that mastering is not really needed. The straight recording is good when it comes out this rack unit. Note all io is TRS balanced or XLR. No TS available. The unit introduces no noise. the effect bypass button does bump a bit but nothing that could blow speakers. I found that there are no balance issues with pot positions n stereo use. This a very low cost rack unit that gives really good results in sound quality.

I bought this , not only because it’s cheap but to see if it really does change the sound that much , and after some testing I’m genuinely very impressed with this piece of equipment. The speakers I’m using are a pair of Behringer Eurolive VP2520 which do sound quite good but definitely lack the crisp highs you’d expect from higher end speakers which is expected considering the price of these speakers , after installing this sonic ultramizer and testing at different levels using the process and low contour knobs to find the sweet spot , it makes quite a significant difference , I can tell the difference by simply pressing the in/out button on the front of the unit which bypasses it so that’s a nice little thing to have for testing! Honestly , the only way I can describe the sound is , it sounds more full and has more presence , the bass doesn’t sound boomy it gives it more punch and brings out more highs in songs and just sounds nicer overall. I can highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get more out of their speakers whether they are big or small I believe you will notice a difference and for £55 , it’s definitely worth it. You might not be able to tell any audible difference with the video I provided , after watching the video the difference is subtle but in person it’s a way bigger difference

Absolutely brilliant sound processor but only dislike is that I bought partially for 'stereo ambience widening; and so far unable to set up......will keep trying!

So I was asked to get this for a friend who told me she had a gig coming up and thought this would help with the acoustics. Turns out the gig was in a church and she spoke very highly of the unit’s functionality and effectiveness in a cavernous space.

Rather than pro use i added this to my home stereo. It makes my studio monitors and subwoofer sound much bigger than tgey look. Great finishing touch to an already great sounding system.
