Hindsight is a wonderful thing especially when these liquorice tablets are involved. Don’t get me wrong, they taste great but they do have a slight after effect. This morning I was stuck on a series of conference calls and to keep awake, I may have been scoffing the odd tablet, ok, maybe half a box may have bitten the dust. Great, loved them and took me back to my youth. Now for the after effects. Firstly you will get liquorice breath and you will have great fun getting rid of that, forget mouthwash, toothpaste it’s stronger than that’d each time you hiccup, there it is. Secondly these tablets have a wonderful effect on your bowels. After a series of trouser trumps, I just about made it to the bowl. Wow, almost an explosion happened but it was just about contained. Then came the time to flush the results away, but... there it stood, big and proud standing to attention above the water line! What happened when I flushed, it simply waved back to me saying bring it on. So after a couple more flushes, I had to use the brush to lampoon it and eventually we said our good byes. Next we popped up to our local supermarket, and I made it just about, but on arrival I had to make a quick visit. What surprised me is that another side effect is that it increases the effectiveness of the kidney whilst reducing the size of the bladder. Anyway, I digress, upon entering the suitable conveniences I heard voices coming from trap 1. Now what is it about people now a days that think it is perfectly acceptable to use FaceTime whilst in,public and especially while in a trap. So, time for some fun, he came out and I was stood next to him, still on FaceTime and I let out the sort of trouser trump that was rather how shall I say very impressive. Next thing was the guy on the other side of the FaceTime asked what on earth that was, so I did what was expected so I said “excuse you” and walked out, while activating the hand driers, creating a bit of background noise while I left. Smug face on. The trumping hadn’t quite finished yet, so while my significant other half walked off in disgust and luckily the volume was turned down so some poor kids may have got the blame for a couple bowel trumps. Snigger snigger So while I’m sat hear waiting for the next urgent attack, I thought I would provide some feedback and warning to others tempted with these tasty morsels.
