The product was effective enough on my lawn - but not quite everywhere. Maybe I didn't use in quite the right way, as I applied it to the whole lawn , rather than just concentrating on the places where the ant nests actually were. My reasoning was that I didn't want the ants to move from one part of the lawn to another. I therefore used a fair bit of it across the whole lawn, but the results were generally good. The ant activity around several smaller nests has stopped completely, and it was only in the area of 2 larger nests that the ants were still active - though it has to be said that activity was reduced. A lot of normal watering of these remaining areas to flood the nests seems to have finally persuaded these remaining ants to clear off. (But where they have gone is a mystery !!). Applying the product in a concentrated manner, as per instructions, might well have produced 5 stars rather than 4.. I would definitely use it again, though.

Can't say there was much difference in the amount of ants,thought would try this,I'm sure if carried on it might of made a difference but couldn't be sure.

This product is quite unusual. It is a paste of concentrated nematodes that kill ants! Sounds a bit yucky but in fact it works brilliantly. You add some of the paste to water in a watering can (it disperses quickly and well) then water onto the ant nests. This had completely killed several large ant nests of small red ants in our back lawn that had created huge mounds. I have tried other options such as ant powders but they just don't seem to work in lawns where the nests are very extensive. So a great product and no insecticide chemicals at all. I am buying a new pack now as some small nests have appeared this year at the edges of the lawn but I am confident that one application of this will deal with them.

I used this natural product last year and was very happy with the results however like all nematode type products you do need to top them up, so when ants started to reappear this year I ordered a fresh batch. This time I am going to have to agree with a lot of the other reviews and state they did not work at all, in fact I think some ant nests actually got bigger. Which probably had nothing to do with the nematode but my keeping the area damp. I contacted the suppliers who responded very quickly. They stated they were sorry for the issues I was facing and came up with a list of why this might be happening, including soil temperature and pests in neighbouring gardens. They went on to say that as a natural product they do vary - which they really need to emblazon on their packaging so potential customers know that if the temperature isn't just right or the neighbours garden is overrun with ants this product might not work or as a natural product the nematodes might just decide not to work. I don't think this is very fair to customers as you buy a product expecting it to work and it seems to be a toss of the coin if this one does or does not. As for me, I am going back to the old options of zapping the nests with chemicals and killing the little things - mother nature failed so back to the big guns!

I've used similar products to rid of garden pests in an environmentally friendly way. This kit was simple and easy to use. Just ensure that you have two watering cans tomato mixing easier. Mix the sashof nematodes in 8 litres of water. Use 500ml of mix and add 4.5lts to it giving you 5 ltr mix for each can full. Covered all my nests in a small garden and along the edge of my conservatory. No more ants this year. Yeah

Does exactly as it says,wiped out my ants took two packs to clear them from my lawns ,better than ant powder,does not damage the lawn,no smell,did block the rose on my watering can otherwise no problem

We recently moved and had ants coming in our living room. I started by putting coffee grounds at where I thought they were coming in which helped significantly reduce the amount of ants but I was still occasionally seeing them so I ordered this, having used nematodes in the past for fungal gnats with success. It was easy to use. I used them on a day that was raining, watering all over my garden. I took the spout off the watering can to make sure they didnt get stuck in it and stirred as well as I could. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen an ant since. I'm glad I found a natural way to deal with them and it was really easy to do.
