Review: Excellent item, does the job. - Excellent item, does the job. Review: It worked in the end - I have to say I didn't think this would work but it did eventually! I have quite a large pond which was thick green and i'd given up trying different things to fix it. I find calculating the amount of pond water and then the amount of treatment required quite difficult. I cleaned the pump and filters and added about a third of the bottle to a watering can and added to the pond. I then cleaned the pond filters every couple of days. I did this three times in total from one bottle of treatment and the water is now considerably clearer. My biggest bugbear with these bottles is the dosage contraption. I don't find it helpful at all in calculating how much you need. It also make it really difficult to get the stuff out of the bottle. I end up cutting the top off the bottle. Maybe that is easier for smaller ponds but I need to use quite a lot of treatment. Overall it worked for me but ponds still seem to be a bit hit and miss. I inherited mine with the house so i'm still figuring it out! ## Features - Multipurpose Pond Treatment – Pond Klear Xtra is a multipurpose treatment helping clear green & murky water, maintain healthy sludge levels & help reduces the chance of blanket weed. - Natural Beneficial Bacteria Treatment – Containing billions of natural beneficial bacteria, Pond Klear Xtra is 3 x stronger than our original Pond Klear. This makes it one of the strongest treatments on the market. - Safe for all Fish & Wildlife – Like all Envii pond products, Pond Klear Xtra is safe for all fish, wildlife & plants. This can be used in conjunction with all other bacteria treatments. - Easy to use – With a built in measuring chamber, applications are really easy. We recommend using 10ml per 1,000 litres of water. This makes for reliable and quick treatments. - Treats a Large Volume of Water – Pond Klear Xtra treats up to 100,000 litres of pond water. If your pond is under 20,000 litres, this means you will get multiple treatments to last you through the year. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B012NB9YEQ | | Best Sellers Rank | 4,216 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 28 in Water Garden & Pond Treatment | | Brand | envii | | Brand Name | envii | | Country Of Origin | United Kingdom | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 1,991 Reviews | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Weight | 1.08 Kilograms | | Item form | Liquid | | Item weight | 1.08 Kilograms | | Liquid Volume | 100000 Litres | | Liquid volume | 100000 Litres | | Manufacturer | Bio8 | | Model Number | PK1L | | Pet Type | Fish | | Target Species | Fish | | UPC | 796890581377 | | Unit Count | 1000.0 millilitre | | Unit count | 1000.0 millilitre | ## Product Details - **Brand:** envii - **Item form:** Liquid - **Item weight:** 1.08 Kilograms - **Liquid volume:** 100000 Litres - **Unit count:** 1000.0 millilitre ## Images ![Pond Klear Xtra – Natural Pond Water Treatment, Clears Green & Murky Water, Beneficial Bacteria Work Down to 4°C, Treats Up to 100,000 Litres - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Hx-Oo9uVL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: On your instructions below it says use 25ml per 1,136 litres but on bottle it says use 10ml per 1,000 litres which one is correct please ?** A: Good morning. For Pond Klear Xtra we advise using 10ml per 1000L of pond water. I hope this helps with your query. Kind regards, Envii **Q: Does this have to be continually applied or once the bacteria have worked are they are there for good?** A: all i can say is after six weeks my pond cleared and has been gin clear for two months and shows no sign of clouding i also do not use any filters on this my fifth pond get the plants right and you do not need filters. **Q: How much do I need for a 10000.00 litre pond please.** A: Hi, 25ml per 1,000 litre, but we recommend double or triple dose initially to help bacteria dominate the bad bacteria.Especially after a warm winter when loads of organics in the pond, if it is in a bad way consider also using Envii Sludge Klear in conjunction to boost bacteria levels. Key for success is getting good bacteria dominating bad bacteria, and you can only do this by numbers. Please feel free to call me during office hours on 01246 240880 if you wouldl like to discuss in more detail. Andy **Q: Does this contain bacteria to control nitrate levels? i use nopo2 to do this, but that's expensive. would this do the same via controlling no3?** A: As per my other answers, this stuff is next to useless.
