Review: Thomas - Great dvd Review: A Great Christmas Present This Year! - This season is different towards the last two. This was the first season to have the long standing narrator Michael Angelis who has full enthusiasm in these episodes as of course he's a good actor. The reason why Ringo left was because at the time he was with his 'All-Starr Band' and working on his new album 'Time Takes Time', but he said that he enjoyed doing the show. The episodes are all remastered like the last two and is filled with great story lines from Rev.W.Awdry and with some written by Britt Allcroft and David Mitton as well as newly appointed head writer of Thomas & Friends, Andrew Brenner. One of the episodes that he created is in this season was 'Henry's Forest', which sadly ended up in criticism from the vicar himself as the railway rule no.55 was broken, as of course the vicar is a railway enthusiast and focus his stories with fact and realism, but its an enjoyable episode. Some of the remastered scenes can have goofs in them, but its still not a disappointing thing. These are a great Christmas present for kids this year as well as S4-7.

Kids dvd
Bought for my son who loves Thomas the tank engine and want to collect all the series. We started a weekly reward chart and each week he gets a new dvd into the collection if heโs completed his chart. Currently at series 15 so itโs working! Lol He loves watching the dvds. Very well made and perfect for kids.

Back when Thomas was good
I bought this DVD for my brother, so he would have something different to watch on his portable DVD player rather than just Wallace and Gromit over and over again! I have watched some of it myself. If anything, one has to compare it to the really recent Thomas. These Thomas stories are realistic, and very good. Today's episodes are not very well written. Any fan of Thomas on YouTube will tell you that. Half of the episodes are adapted from stories by the Rev W. Awdry, and the others are written by producers Allcroft and Mitten. Many criticised the decision to do this initially, especially as there were plenty of other stories by the Rev and his son that could have been adapted instead. But the producer written shows are actually really well written, and, to the amateur viewer, it would be hard to tell the difference. Overall, if you're after classic examples of what Thomas was like when it was actually worth watching, this DVD is a must have. Very good indeed!

Oliver arrives
More fantastic stories from the world of Thomas. Introducing us to fan favourites such as Oliver and Toad this series is done really well and continues to adapt stories from Rev W Awdrys railway series. My two year old daughter continues to be captivated by the trains she now recognises and names and quickly grasps the basic storyline recognising the trains moods and motives via the easy to comprehend and read expressions used by the trains and incidental music. Fantastic.

I miss Ringo Starr's narration but this is still a lovely DVD
I like the new narrator but still I miss Ringo. I remember his voice on the Thomas programmes when I was little. But still this is a lovely DVD packed full of fun stories, which our son adores.
