I bought these headphones after reading the reviews. They were really good on and 11 hr flight cancelling out some of the engine and passenger noise and allowing me to listen to the in-flight movies and music. They do not cancel out all of the noise but do take the edge off the engine and ambient noise and the sound delivery is good. It was a toss up for me between these and the cheaper Sony headphones without the noise cancelling and I’m pleased I chose these ones. They were comfortable to wear constantly for 11 hrs and the noice cancelling worked well with the movie or music playing. The build quality is good and they good flat for packing. The wire is quite short and flimsy - ideal for flying but maybe not as good for daily or gym use. Overall I was pleased with my purchase and they were ideal for blocking out the aircraft noise of people and engines for a reasonable price.

I bought these specifically for a noisy office environment. In my opinion, they perform very admirably given their price point. While they don't eliminate *all* ambient noise, as soon as they are turned on they greatly reduce noise occupying the crucial parts of the frequency spectrum needed by music. When music is playing, it is difficult to hear anything else ~ even soft piano music can be enjoyed without significant disturbance. So I would say the *active* noise cancellation here is impressive - certainly no gimmick. As for sound quality, music is clear and detailed. You are not going to be blown away, but you are going to be able to enjoy your favourite music in reasonable quality on the move, with decent treble and bass response. Again, I think they're as good as you could expect for portable cans at this price. Now, some downsides you might like to consider. As far as I can tell, in addition to the noise cancellation the battery also provides extra power to the drivers. That is to say, switching them on is essential - without being switched on, they sound no better than the most budget of headphones on the market (muddy and muffled), and their *passive* noise cancellation isn't up to much either, as you would expect from small portable cans. Fortunately the battery does not need replacing often. They are also not the most comfortable headphones in the world, although they aren't terrible in this regard. They must be situated on your ears just right in order for the noise cancellation to work to its best. Don't expect miracles from these, but do expect some quality cans with good sound and portability on a budget.

I'll be a little upset if Amazon don't publish my review, because that seems to be the way things are going, when you want to leave a less than favourable review. However, here goes... I've owned a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones, since 2007, and they still work, and do an amazing job at cancelling out aircraft noise. I bought these for my Wife, as we have an upcoming 12 hour flight. I tested them out by standing near our home AC, blasting away at full pelt. My original Sony headphones significantly reduce the noise within a couple of seconds of turning them on. It's tangible, and you almost feel like you've gone slightly deaf when they kick in. The new headphones? Absolutely nothing, no difference. I have to say that I'm somewhat sceptical that these are actually Sony headphones. The box says 2014. There are so many fakes out there these days, that like I say, I find it hard to believe these are genuine, and that Sony have huge stocks of old headphones. At £36, I've not spent a fortune, but if these are not genuine, then that's more than enough for what we've got. I can't see that Sony would have cracked the tech back in 2007, and them for them to produce headphones years later, that were an inferior product? I'm in the process of contacting Sony, to try to find out whether they can track down the serial number. The fact remains that if you're looking for a pair of headphones that reduces noise, then the pair we've received do not do that in any way, shape, or form.

Well I'm genuinely impressed, I wanted a cheapish pair of headphones for my son to use on the plane, so I figured I'd try a pair with noise cancellation. I just received these and wow I was really impressed. OK the noise cancellation isn't gonna be as good as a pair of Bose QC25's but you know what for the price they do a dammed good job. I tried these with some music switched on the headphones noise cancellation and wow I was really impressed. The music was crisp and had good base, I was even sat next to a desk fan at the time and it seemed to block out most of the sound of the fan, the headphones even managed to drown out the Mrs shouting at me from the bottom of the stairs, so a nice bonus there !!!!. My only small critism would be comfort, the headbad has zero padding and is just plain old plastic on the top of your head, so I dont know how comfortable these would be after a few hours of use, but if you just want a nice neat pair of headphones thats not gonna cost the earth that sound great you cant go wrong with a pair of these. Sony even throw in a aeroplane adapter too so you can take your headphones on a flight and ot pay the air line £2 just o listen to the inflight movie. Just cant really fault these.

Molto bene, un suono chiaro con bassi equalizzato bene anche a basso volume senza nesessita di alzare il volume. Avevo delle Sony con le quali mi trovavo bene, poi sono passato a delle JBL di prezzo superiore ma per sentire bene l'equalizzazione e la curva dei bassi bisognava alzare molto il volume, sono tornato a Sony con queste e sono eccellenti. Bisogna però tenere attivo il noise reduction.

Los he usado en un viaje de avión de ida y vuelta más de 30 horas, y me han encantado. Calculo que cancelan un 70-80% del ruido de fondo del avión. Incluso sin estar escuchando nada, se nota mucho la disminución del ruido. Si además estás escuchando algo (películas, en mi caso), la diferencia con respecto a unos auriculares sin cancelación es enorme. El sonido es mucho más intenso y nítido. Y la pila, de momento, ha aguantado 30 horas sin problemas. No estaba seguro de si comprarlos porque no sabía si era una pijada de esas sólo perceptible por los "expertos" en audio (yo no lo soy y no soy especialmente exigente con las calidades), pero se nota, y mucho. Ergonómicamente son cómodos y no me han resultado nada pesados, ni siquiera tras varias horas seguidas de uso. Y por este precio, yo creo que merece la pena sin duda.

Ce casque Sony est surprenant pour ce prix ! 50€ en magasin, 33€ sur MyMemory GB, 10X moins que les autres hauts de gamme. points négatifs: - sensible au vent, en mode actif, amplifie le bruit d'un vent fort et devient gênant - réduit fortement les sons graves, ne les annule pas, et est peu efficace pour les medium et aigus - ne couvre pas complètement l'oreille dû à sa dimension positifs : - amplifie les basses en mode actif, très agréable - pour mon utilisation urbaine, il est génial contre le bruit des voitures, travaux, trains, transports en commun - plein d'autre utilisateurs ont un sony (modèle passif) et n'attire pas l'attention des voyous (comparé aux marques prestigieuses) - après 3 semaines d'utilisation, toujours solide et impeccable - possède un bouton pour mettre en pause la musique du smartphone - possède un micro qui le rend kit mains libres, très pratique pour répondre et parler en toute discrétion - enfin, malgré ses points faibles, il mérite ces 5 étoiles car pour ce prix là ...

Cuffia abbastanza decente, costa 40,00 Euro quindi non possiamo pretendere più di tanto. Confermo quanto scritto nelle altre recensioni che senza la funzione NR attivata la qualità dll'audio è alquanto scadente; dovete sempre avere con voi una batteria di scorta. La funzione di soppressione del rumore funziona bene in aereo. Visto il prezzo, vale la candela.

Zuerst mal zu meinen Erwartungen: Ich wollte einen Kopfhörer für den Urlaub, der kompakt ist, den ich im Flugzeug benutzen kann und der mich im besten Falle noch von Störgeräuschen befreit. Entsprechend habe ich zuerst bei Sennheiser und Bose reingeschaut - hier hat mich allerdings der doch recht hohe, dreistellige Preis zunächst abgeschreckt, zumal es auch dort (ähnlich wie hier) Rezensionen gab, die einen Fehler bei der Noise-Cancelling-Funktion andeuteten. Also, so dachte ich, greife ich erstmal beim "billigen" Sony zu und schaue, was er tut. Immerhin, viel teurer als ein Kopfhörer OHNE NC ist er nicht. Was könnte also schiefgehen? Zunächst mal zu der Verarbeitung: Viel Plastik, das allerdings wertiger als bei so manchem Billigheimer-Headset zum Einsatz kommt wirkt. Der Klappmechanismus ist intuitiv und macht den Eindruck, dass er auch in den nächsten Monaten nicht den Geist aufgibt, die Scharniere arretieren ordentlich, das Kabel ist recht dünn und hat gerade so die richtige Länge, dass es weder zu kurz noch zu lang ist. Standard eben. Negativ fällt mir auf, dass eine hinreichend deutliche Bezeichnung, welches Ohr denn nun rechts und welches links sein soll, fehlt. Zwar ist es aufgedruckt - aber wenn man nicht weiß, wo man suchen soll oder es etwas dunkler ist, sieht man das nicht wirklich gut (dunkelrote Schrift auf schwarzem Grund ist nicht unbedingt ideal). Immerhin kann man sich am NC-Schalter orientieren - der ist nämlich an der RECHTEN Ohrmuschel dran. Was den Tragekomfort angeht, hat Amazon eine eiskalte Lüge serviert: Das hier ist kein OverEar-Kopfhörer, sondern ein ON-Ear-Kopfhörer. Die Polster liegen also auf der Ohrmuschel auf - mit allen Vor- und Nachteilen. Unter anderem muss man den Kopfhörer so wirklich ordentlich positionieren, damit man gut hören kann und auch der NC-Effekt richtig einsetzt. Das erfordert durchaus etwas Übung und Eingewöhnung. Die Tonqualität hat mich, der ich schon etliche Headsets (bisher ohne NC-Funktion) auf den Ohren hatte, überzeugt bis begeistert. Zumindest für seine Preisklasse liefert der Kopfhörer ein ordentliches Tonbild ab, beherrscht recht ordentliche Bässe und klirrt nicht. In Anbetracht, dass der Kopfhörer von Sony ist (und damit nunmal keiner Billigmarke), ist er die knappen 40 Euro, für die ich ihn hier vor Weihnachten erstanden habe, also schon wert. Bleibt also noch die NC-Funktion... Um die Noise-Cancelling-Funktion (das der Kopfhörer diese tatsächlich hat, wird zwar in der Kurzbeschreibung erwähnt, in der Funktionsbeschreibung dagegen wieder verschwiegen. Man muss schon tief ins Manual reinschauen, um zu sehen, dass er es hat. Hier erneut ein Hinweis an Amazon: Das kann prominenter rausgehoben werden!) nutzen zu können, braucht man eine AAA-Batterie, die in der rechten Ohrmuschel eingesetzt wird. Ohne Batterie gibt es zwar Ton (und keinen schlechten, wie ich oben beschrieben habe), aber nunmal kein Noise-Cancelling. Mit einem Fingerstreich über den Schiebeschalter an der rechten Hörmuschel schaltet man die Funktion ein und aus. Das Ergebnis der Noise-Cancelling-Funktion: Nein, keine absolute Stille (die schon nicht möglich ist, weil der Kopf selber ja durch Eigenvibrationen immer noch etwas Schall ins Innenohr und den Schädel transportiert), aber eine deutlich spürbare Dämpfung der Umgebungsgeräusche. Ich habe den Kopfhörer im Flugzeug getestet, spürte dort den Unterschied zu NC-an und NC-aus wirklich EXTREM deutlich - mit einem Knopfdruck wurde aus dem Brummen und lauten Rauschen nur noch ein wirklich leises Rauschen, das durch die richtige Positionierung des Kopfhörers noch ein wenig leiser wurde. Gänzlich weg gehen die Umgebungsgeräusche dagegen nicht - als Gehörschutz oder für Leute, die sehr empfindlich auf Lärm reagieren, taugt er also nur bedingt. Was er aber bewirkt: Man muss den Ton an Tablet, Entertainment-System, mp3-Player oder Handy nichtmal ansatzweise so laut drehen, wie man es bei anderen Lautsprechern gewohnt wäre - denn durch die Filterung der gerade besonders störenden Frequenzen (meine Empfindung) kann man sich auch bei niedrigen Lautstärken angenehm auf die Unterhaltungen, die Musik und das übrige Geschehen konzentrieren und hört auch bei Umgebungslärm das, was man hören will. Fazit: 4 Sterne von mir für einen guten, preisgünstigen Noise-Cancelling-Kopfhörer. Er schottet einen nicht vollständig ab, klingt aber gut und tut für diesen Preis wirklich sehr gute Dienste. Wer mehr will, muss schon zum Bose für knapp den fünf- bis sechsfachen Preis greifen. Wer wie ich nur ab und an unterwegs ist und abschalten will, entsprechend wenig Geld anlegen oder NC einfach mal ausprobieren möchte, der ist mit diesem Kopfhörer indes gut beraten. Den Stern Abzug gibt es für die Tatsache, dass es eben ein ON-Ear-Kopfhörer ist, was die Positionierung (das der Kopfhörer falsch auf den Ohren gesessen hat, ist wohl der Grund für die negativen Rezensionen hier, die ein Fehlen bzw. Nichtfunktion der NC-Funktion ankreiden) auf dem Ohr zu einem wichtigen Faktor macht und für einige sicher nicht unbedingt bequem ist. Ändert aber nichts am guten Ton und der Funktion selbiger.
