Ensure the old washer is removed (it is a metal crush washer so throw it away) and refit with the new metal washer. Tighten up, but no need to get too tight. Finally refit shower head and use the black rubber washer here to form the seal. Test shower and tighten joints slightly if there are any leaks. Now normal power is resumed and I have a hose that is happy with its lot of being a hose! :) The hose itself is perfectly good quality. It is flexible, does not appear to want to kink and is long enough to make the rinse down of the area after cleaning, very easy. Oh and the shower hose should just fit and virtually all showers use the same size diameter for them.
